Yeah, you're right. . . Boxing is too much of a business. . . WAY too risky for the reward. . . BUt as a boxing fan, I'm always wanting to see these fights, although I know they'll never happen.

:deal True dat IB. Sergio struggles alittle more with mobile and technical fighters plus the majority have been naturally bigger men. Whoever wins this it will be a very close fight. Either Andre outboxed Sergio or Sergio makes it a war and outguns Andre stuns him and puts him in defensive mode or even survival mode.

Sergio's power carrying up to 168? It already took him 10+ rounds to dispose of Barker and Macklin in his most recent showings. Up at 168, against a legit 168 pounder, I just would have to go with Dirrell, who would be much faster, in my opinion...

Dirrell is big for a SMW, and Martinez kinda small for a MW... would be suprised if Maravilla pulled it off.

This fight won't happen because is a high risk and very low reward fight. Now Maravilla is looking for Chavez jr , lil Floyd or Cotto. Hypothetical speaking , if this fight would happen , Andre Dirrell would win it without a doubt, maybe by a late stoppage .
Dirrell is too big for Martinez.

    Andre Dirrell vs Bika
    Andre Dirrell vs Ward
    Andre Dirrell vs Abraham II
    Andre Dirrell vs Magee
    Andre Dirrell vs Pavlik
Andre Dirrell vs Steveson .......... these are the bouts that I want to see Andre Dirrell involved in !:yep

Direll may be too big for Maretinez who is already a smallish middleweight. Martinez certainly has a number of advantages going for him as well, but size, youth and speed might trump experience and style. Of course there are some big unknown factors as well: where is Direll really at these days mentally and physically? Could Sergio hurt him with one of those big punches and would he fold if it happened? I'd favour Direll, but I wouldn't put money on it.

Will never happen, Dirrell is even bigger than Bute.

Nice pic. . . Didn't know htey had met face to face. . .

Dirrell is about the same size as Bute. . At least height-wise - they are both 6'2''. . . Martinez is 5'10''-5'11''. . . Martinez is actually just about as thick as both of them, though. . . . You can really tell a differnce in Martinez between the first Williams fight at 160, and the Pavlik fight at 160 - he put on some muscle, and pretty much became a regular sized MW then. . .

The size differencne between Martinez, and DIrrell/Bute is not nearly as drastic as it is between Martinez, and Floyd/Pacquiao. . .

Remember, Martinez weighed in @ 176 pounds for the 30-day WBC weigh-in for Williams II. . . Then, there were pictures of him with Campillo back in january when he first started training for the Mackiln fight, and dude was carrying some POUNDAGE on him... He didn't look much smaller than Campillo thickness wise, to be honest. He's got some natural muscle mass on him.

He's got some excess body fat here, but he definitely has a naturally thick upper body, shoulders, and core. . . He's looking every bit of 175 here, and I'm lowballing.

Well... Sergio is tougher and more experienced.

This should be a wide division win for Dirrell, but Sergio's experience and greater toughness will make it closer. However, Sergio will have too much to overcome and would lose.
