Good stepup fight for Dirrell. If he wins impressively, he'll cap off a very good 2008. A definite bounce-back after a disappointing 2007.

At this pace, he should be fighting on a B.A.D. undercard or perhaps even headline one by next summer.

Yeah i'm sure that this Oganov guy will get outboxed ... if he has all of his victory the same way - he's going to be accustomed to that same thing ... in addition to that he has no other option but to try and knock out ...

Great fight for Dirrell ... either he's going to knock Dirrell out or get knocked out himself.

Good fight and a good card on that date. Dirrell should win this comfortably if he can handle Oganov's power/pressure. I'd like to see Dirrell-Alan Green, if Dirrell wins and if Green ever fights again.

    Andre Dirrell 6'2 ... 75" reach

    Victor Oganov 5'9 ... 69" reach

those are just a couple of small factors that would determine the outcome of the fight.

Add to that Oganov probably is least experienced than Dirrell ... Dirrell was a world class amateur and has fought better opposition than Oganov

If Dirrell gets this win, this will definitely put him head and shoulders above the now injured Andre Ward.

Ward had a good 2007, and Dirrell had a good 2008. Let's just hope they both keep moving forward.

I don't like the choice of opponent for Dirrell here. The old risk/reward thing you know. Oganov fell off the radar after the Zuniga loss but 28 KO's is still 28 KO's. Journeyman opponents or not, that's still impressive because you have to imagine that at least 1 or 2 of those guys would have made it the distance but Oganov dusted them all.

Zuniga appeared to be the first real test that Oganov faced, and Oganov was beat up and KO'd. I think Dirrell will pick up a good win here and keeps going forward in his career.
