Let's be honest. He outboxed Froch, but was robbed. He outboxed Arthur, but Arthur was disqualified (let's not discuss whatever or not Dirrell acted, we don't know and it doesn't matter). Those two would have been great direct wins on his record and he had the skill to beat both guys. Yet, he will be forgotten. I actually think he's the second best SMW right now, just behind Ward, and everything points towards it.
He does have great skills, I won't deny that. But he needs to be more active. He needs to step in the ring as soon as possible. This inactivity will hurt him in the long term.
The main impact he's had is that mention of him makes me chuckle because I think of "Froch lost 11.5 rounds"....to Taylor! Don't know why I think of that when I think or hear of Direll, but I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth.:yep
Dirrell's legacy: 1- bottled it in his first title fight where he was running, ducking, turning his back and complaining about everything against Froch. 2- out boxed AA for 9 rounds, when AA started timing him he faked being KO'ed to get out of having to fight the last 2 rounds 3- said he had brain damage so he would not have to fight andre ward. but dont worry about it, he is american and "talented" so people still rate the ****er.
