(Kessler he mugged on the inside and didn't allow to get off at his appropriate range; Pantera had already had his claws clipped when Pavlik laid the blueprint to putting him on the backfoot and rendering him ineffective and harmless; Bika mostly just clipped him with glancing stuff; Green was semi-shot and never as dangerous as he was made out to be in the first place; and Abraham got schooled so bad he never got a chance to check Ward's chin despite probably being capable if he'd been given a free whack with all the time in the world to strike...plus he was more potent at MW anyway...)

If the following scenario plays out, though:

Zak, where do you lean on this one? I know the British Chincheckers are fully expecting Froch to destroy that abysmal Chin, and while I realize that with a Mandible that fragile it's possible, I just have my reservations about picking a guy that is at a disadvantage in every realm of fighting aside from power and Mandibular Fortitude. I hope beyond hope that Fraudre's china gets crushed but I have a gut feeling that he fights his typical dirty fight and clinches, wrestles, headbutts, and potshots his way to a clear UD.

 

I would have to say, were that to happen, that a re-assessment was necessary and that perhaps the early indicators of questionable whiskers were misleading.

It's not like that hasn't happened before. Early on, I thought, DeLaHoya might have a fragile mandible. But he proved me wrong. It's certainly possible that Ward could do so.

 

I think that is actually highly likely that he is able to use his defensive tactics to avoid getting KOd. But he may still loose a decision. And I certainly wouldn't say it would be a big surprise if he got starched either.

 

No, I won't be at all surprised if he's caught at some point during the fight and ends up staring into the doctor's penlight, but I do bank on the likelier outcome being that Froch, who isn't much of an in-fighter, gets potshotted on the outside, tied up when attempting to counter, and gets frustrated down the stretch. Still, a very, very interesting bout and one in which there is a significant chance of seeing a suspected Glass Jaw exposed violently.

 

Well, that's one of the things that makes this one of the year's most anticipated and intriguing fights. I think there will be a lot of us rooting for Froch to expose those questionable whiskers and end the hype train for Ward. Whether it happens or not depends on how he is able to control Froch's aggression and keep him from getting in the sort of shot that could be true chin-checkers.:yep

 

Andre Ward calls himself the "Son of God" and then relies on dirty, illegal tactics in the ring. He's the worst kind of hypocrite and he definitely deserves to lose.

I'd love to see Froch knock him out with an uppercut when Ward comes in with one of his deliberate headbutts.

Ward has shown that he fears travelling. Even when he fought Abraham in California but outside of Joakland, he had a judge from California.
Ward has been hyped for one home win over an unwell Kessler where he ended the fight with illegal headbutts, whilst Kessler got warned for head use. Ward crys to the ref and gets away with dirty tactics.
The one fight where Ward had to travel in the S6 and he postponed the fight.

 

I agree with this part. I'm not prepared to call him an actual hypocrite for it, because in the ring blood & guts usually get the animal outta ya.

The way he looked at Bika in round 12 after Bika hit him with 3 consecutive scorpion right hands in the pocket locking Ward's right arm up -same concept used by Ward against multiple opponents, including Bika himself- was just insane. For just 1 sec the camera is on him (after they break it up) and you see him looking at Bika like he wants to rip all his organs apart, some killer look. Then he jabs and lands, gets super close and leans on Bika's face (Bika's left eye to be exact) with his forehead backing him up and pressuring the **** outta him.
