Guy had the talent, much like Jack Sharkey, (though Sharkey won the title and was better technically) but just like Sharkey, couldn't keep the focus.

    You make a good point.
You would think that a slightly psychotic attitude would be a positive thing in boxing, but it just comes to show that its all about pure focus on the goals ahead of you. And thats what all champions have

He had a lot of talen but was weak mentally. Also, what did he do? He couldn't even finish Bowe after fouling him like a cheating ******* - for two fights. Also, lets not forget that Po'uha had him hurt and he sunk his teeth into his neck / shoulder. He took Byrd close and because he did well people cried robbery. He managed to knock Ruiz down and then do **** all for the rest of the fight. His claim to fame were in two fights where he pretty much disgraced himself. He quit against Tyson after being knocked around the ring and Lewis just walked through him - as did Brewster. Yes, he had skill but none of the other fundamentals needed to make a champion.

All true except that vs Byrd and Ruiz they were really borderline robberies (vs Byrd especially it was a robbery IMO as he pretty much dominated and Byrd did **** all to change it, you can't convincingly win by just running and ducking most of the punches succesfully, can you?).

Also, vs Tyson he had a broken orbital bone apparently so he did well quitting.

He did better than expected which is why many were inclined to side with Golota. Personally I thought Byrd may have just edged it, but I couldn't see that either were clear winners. If we are to level the critisism that Byrd did nothing then the same should apply for Golota against Ruiz. After the early success he basically did nothing.

I also remember reading that Golota injured his back after Tyson dropped him in the first so perhaps my quitting comment was unjust. But, looking at his **** sheet against Bowe x 2, Po'uha and Nichollson I sometimes find it hard to have much sympathy for him.

    Some of you are ******ed.

    That being said,

Nice vid... I had never seen that before, Golota had a sick right hand when he used it, that second cross he threw on the finishing barrage was a monster, surprised West didnt go down on that one.

    GolATTA sucks.

Would I say it to his face? I wouldn't bother with him in person, would he kick my ass? Yes, probably.. would he if I told him he sucks? Probably not?

    Whats your point?

    Ray Austin KO1.
    Lamon Brewster KO1
    Lennox Lewis KO1
Quit like a bum against Ray Austin, quit like a quitter against Bowe x2, quit like a ***** against Grant, quit like a ****ing puto against Mike Tyson and looked like Tyson had scrambled what was in his head in the post fight interview. hahaha

    GOLATTA SUCKS.

Golota was GREAT and he showed some of it here. You don't need a belt to prove you were great. Golota was great.
