    Oh really? And Otke is undefeated too.

    ????? Over any p4p ranking right now are legit. The subject itself is subjective so therefore so should the merits of any unjust decisions be when considering such a concept. Kovalev beat him IMO so Ward isn't p4p. Chocalito is still IMO til the rematch happens.

    Close fight, Ward won imo but he still pulled it off vs a top 3 p4p fighter. Ward's #1 100%.

    What next for this great man?

    Rematch with Kovalev (it was a close fight that MOST thought went the other way). obviously if a unification bout with Stevenson can happen that takes precedence .

    Of course IYO.. One wouldn't expect anything else but Wards legitimacy in this case and his supremacy over Kovalev are suspect & will til the rematch be rightly questioned and tenuous. SK won. Nothing changes here for me.

    So your answer is a REMATCH.

    Thank you for your input.

    I also believe a rematch would be necessary to see who really is the best of the two. I thought Ward edged it but he needs to solidify his supremacy next time. Thank you!

    What op needs to understand is its the fans that make this sport so ultimately its there opinion that really matters.. You cant become p4p on a gift decision it makes a mockery of the concept and denegrates the sports standing. A few magazine editors or the majority of boxing supporters? He got an Otke last night so no he's not p4p. Nor are you going to convert any reasonable mind into categorically believing so. After all p4p is subjective anyway and is essentially who is the best boxer h2h and Ward did not prove that convincingly.

    If Sergey won, others would have claimed the same thing.

    It is what it is.

    Ray beat Hagler, many whined and claimed Marvin clearly won, Ray was still seen as the winner and #1 by the time that fight ended.

    But what is known is that Ward IS the #1 P4P fighter atm.

    Forget about Stevenson, he's not dumb to fight in US with 3 US judges and we know Ward has no passport. A rematch with Brand is more likely, Ward chased him for years and there's unfinished business there. Let the milking begin!!!

    But its a false claim. He didn't beat him objectively speaking so you are suggesting p4p has no integrity or lea way. Which it does in most peoples minds. A win should not be taken verbatim in subjective discussions like p4p.

    Ward must have been on the phone to god to get him that decision, for that stinker lets see ward travel to russia for the rematch LOL see how he does then, really really bad i would say, ward probably doesnt even realise there are other countries and some are really overseas too

    I don't think a controversial Decision in which you were wobbled by Jabs and knocked down is a good enough performance to be P4P #1.
