Discuss. Only thing lacking is the resume. The rate he's going, he may surpass fan 4 and fmj. Crazy. Go sog

If his resume is lacking then the proof of the extent of his skills is also lacking. Right now he has proven to be elite, but he has not had to test his skills against All Time Great competition yet. I hope he gets the chance to and doesn't fall into the trap of being too dominant for his own good.

    No he doesn't.
He doesn't really box, like B-Hop he is more crafty and using dirty skills more than having beautiful boxing ability or pure boxing ability like those you are trying to compare him with.

You clearly don't watch his fights. His ability to cut the ring/move in and out of danger/defend/exceptional footwork puts him among the elites of all time in terms of ability to box.

Again I didn't say he couldn't box, but his craft along with B-Hop isn't beautiful boxing or pure boxing it is using boxing iq and ring craft to get your way despite physical limitations. Which is why I don't rank him or B-Hop high with regards to pure boxing ability.

He's the next boxer to focus on if you're into watching highly skilled operators work

Totally agree with the thread title but disagree wit the "resume". Already he has Froch, Abraham, Dawson, Kessler, Miranda and Green on his record and he only had 26 professional fights. In addition he won the super-six tournament when he wasn't expected to, WBC/WBA Champion and fighter of the year 2011.

He clearly means Ward is as fabulous as they were in terms of ability.

Doesnt have an elite contemporary to judge against. Maybe Dirrell if he gets his career together. I think he will have longevity but never that career defining win against a fellow great. Kinda like Floyd.

So he is saying Ward can garner the resume of Leonard or Duran? Maybe. I doubt he can reach Roy Jones level without these HOF opponents.

I think Ward can win titles all the way up to Cruiser. Maybe even heavweight.

I think after LHW and depending on the state of LHW while he is there, he will be successful up to LHW. Physically he will never be able to compete at Cruiser.
