Heck Alex Sergey had to get Andre in headlocks because everytime he came in he rushed forward HEAD FIRST like a Billy Goat If Robert Byrd had called Ward on illegal use of the head the "wrestling" wouldnt have occurred If there is a rematch I hope its a clean fair fight, fairly officiated, with the best man getting the win with no contraversy
Give it up dude! They are actually claiming Kovalev initiated the fouling. Nothing can be said when someone has such a warped perspective. Eventually they will claim that Ward actually KD Kovalev.
Alot of bitter ****bois on this thread. Ward won a close fight that could have gone either way move on and quit crying it won't change the result.
The dirty fighting was initiated by Ward Bobby Byrd ignored it What was Kovalev to do ? let Ward blatantly butt him???
But PIMP would you have the same opinion if the dec had gone to Kovalev under the same circumstances ?? Just a thought
Listening to Ward of late has been like listening to Hillary Clinton, they both use the same tactic of shoot the messenger, fact Ward in all of his big fights gets talked about not because of his sublime boxing skills and wanting to hurt his opponent rather it's to do with his jab n hold tactics which anyone could do if they didn't have a consience in ripping off the paying fans, think about it who else wins fights by doing nothing to knock out his opponent, what gives Ward the right to purposely stink out a fight when it's not going his way? For the record I can't remember seeing as much as a scratch on Kovalev afterwards, not surprising given that he only had the odd single jab to contend with, that said Ward is a top wrestler.
Actually that would be one thing to do.. You getting headbutted by a guy who's running at you with his head down like you claim, stand there and let it happen once and let everybody see it.. Sell the foul.. Fouling someone because they were going to foul you for a whole fight is not a smart excuse to use.. Especially if it look like you were the one doing at least an equal amount of fouling like this fight...
There were a few times where Ward tried to get into close range, got there, no holding, Kovalev still held him. Kovalev is the one that was dirty in this fight. Ward needed to close distance getting low, Kovalev took advantage of that by getting him into headlocks. Losers cry about a result they can't change, it's called whining.
Nope i would have gave kovalev his due said it was a close fight that could have gone either way. I would have accepted that and moved on and looked forward to the rematch.
