He definitely gets big points for exposing Kovalev the guy everyone thought was impossible to hurt and an overall badass in the lhw division. Folks were matching Kovalev up with sub 200 lb atg heavyweights...

Problem for andre would be that he is not the kind of guy to ever target the belt perceived as the "poor mans". He goes for the biggest prize each time, which would involve facing one of the better hw champs (joshua or wildman).

 

I have little doubt Ward could beat Hughie Fury. Not that Hughie has a belt.

Trouble is Ward's body has had enough and so has he. But he's already ticked all the boxes that matter.

 

How can anyone call Ward Son of God when he is a liar and a cheat?! It's more like SOB, or even better SOB Son of Satan. The only way SOB could get rid of Kovalev was to hit Kovalev three times in a row to the testicles and yet his very biased blind fans call that a win? Low blows are against the rules of boxing and alway has been. Sign the petition to chance the decision of Golovkin/Bowe to a knockout for Golovkin if that's they way the rules are going to be changed. Nobody else can get by with such crap! Headbutting, holding, wrestling, elbowing, and low blows are SOB's favorite punches, that's his way for winning fights and always in his venue, his judges, his referee, his boxing commission.....................so anyone who is a Ward fan should never complain about illegal tactics in boxing, cheating is an SOB fans dream. Kovalev won the first fight and he won the second by disqualification, or as Paulie said the referee should have, at least, given Kovalev a rest, up to 5 minutes for not one, but three low blows, the head shot did not hurt Kovalev, but right after that is was the three low blows agreed upon by Tony Weeks and Bob Bennett who refused to even review the video. In football we would have seen instant replay reviewed, the decision would have been changed. No, SOB is a comic book creation by those who made him. SOB refused to allow Bute to fight in his own personal tournament, go to youtube and watch for yourself, he is a dirty boxer, he cheated his was up and was boring as hell.................after promising he would easily out box Joshua, he ran from Beterbiev!

Ward is a great boxer i think he's in top-5, but he's a dirty and terribly boring fighter, I don't have the desire to watch his past fights.

His last fight was truly something special. It was like he was painting the most beautiful picture with his boxing style, conducting the most earthmoving symphony to our ears. It was a masterpiece of art. It was Andre Michael Ward's last piece of art he left for some of us lucky enough to witness it live and for future generations to be amazed in retrospect. All those will be wondering what was it like to live in his time of dominance and finally see him retire without L on his record from the very top of the sport of boxing.
