I cant wait to see Barrera get butted and elbowed. I watched some of his fights. He wont be able to handle Ward on the inside. Not that I'm saying Ward will try and overpower him but in clinches he can frustrate him and it depends how Barrera reacts. There could be a lot of fouls in this fights. Unles you put Jack Reiss in with his blinders. I would tell Barrera that if Ward gets dirty to just do it back hitting him in the nuts. Then do it again. Use those 2 points before disqualification wisely!:deal

Since the first foul is usually just a hard warning, they might not even take a point so make sure you blast him hard!:hey Then if Ward continues to get close and fight inside blast him again! Then "Dre"might back off and Barrera can try to keep the fight on the outside.:yep

He's fighting a 33 year old with only 17 fights, who is essentially a lumbering straight forward fighter, and hasn't fought anyone ranked in the top 25, maybe top 40.

Why are people considering this to be a top flight test for Ward? So that they can make absurd claims for him afterward?

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son Andre Ward, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

What's even more obviously fraudulent about Barrera is that against his best (possibly top 40 at best) opponent Karo Murat, he scored an after the bell knockdown and then received a crooked ridiculous stoppage over Burat when he wasn't even remotely hurt.

    What a fraud.

Seriously? That's a good knockdown and stoppage? The knockdown was after the bell and he was perfectly fine and got hit with maybe two clean shots before the fight is called and then vigorously protests and has no idea why it was stopped.

    He's standing there perfectly fine.

He was clearly hurt after the KD, the stoppage wasn't that great, but it was going south in a big way for Murat. I'm not saying this because I like Ward, because I don't I think Barrera is more than capable of the upset here. I've been hyping Barrera for almost 2 years now.

Maybe it was, but the knockdown itself was fraudulent in the first place, and after the stoppage he was clear headed and perfectly able to continue onward.

Barrera is being hyped as a genuine test, but he simply isn't in the position to be right now. If he wins the match I will be shocked. Regardless of his amateur experience, he was fought nothing since becoming a pro and a matchup against a world class fighter like Ward doesn't look promising to me. I'd much rather see Barrera against a top 15 guy, then top 10, etc.

I don't know where I would rank Ward in terms of actually place in the division, but skillset wise, he is heads and tails beyond Barrera.
