    here's what you said:

"The most amusing thing here is that the excellent Sven Ottke was criticised for fighting in Germany, but Ward is just fighting in Joakland, not even any other part of America"

You didn't say "title fights in Germany", did you?

yes Miranda. But isn`t this about Ward vs Abraham at 168? As far as I am concernned the miranda fight is also on neutral ground with a boxer he has defeted, but you can have it your way.

No I didnt first time but I thought it may be obvious, as in world title fights Ottke fought in different parts of Germany, whilst in 3 World title fights Ward has been in Joakland, including when bidding to become champ against a reigning champ. Similar to Ottke only Ottke didnt have 3 fights in a row at the same place in Germany whilst Ward has

As much I would love to see Arthur bounce back from his devastating loss to Froch, I can't see a way how he would pull that off. He seemed totally gun shy against the Englishman and he can only fight in mid range. If Wegner and he can't improve his inside game, he'll get smothered on the inside by Ward.

While I think it's unfair that Ward had all his prior fights in the Super 6 at home, you can't really make a point for the 4th to have home advantage over the winner of the preliminary round, can you?

Ward seems more like an inside fighter than Froch to me, so Arthur might even have better chances in this one as he should be able to get close at least. But I'm not really seeing it at this point, Arthur needs a mental buildup so he can engage in the fight without being afraid of taking a punch for landing one.

If I were to repeatedly refer to "Nottingham" as "Snottingham" would you think I was kind of a buffoon?

You probably would. Ponder that for a moment.

Now, to the substance of your criticism and its fairness.

    Lets take Joe Calazaghe.

Calzaghe had 23 world title fights. The first 10 were the the United Kingdom, mostly in Cardiff, Wales.

So Andre could fight another 6 fights in Oakland and still have fewer home title fights than Joe Calzaghe.

But they're both American... so essentially it would have been in neutral ground. Similar to the latest AA-Froch fight. If you think Ward will fight in Oakland again then I don't know what to tell you. Seems you would give a British fighter the benefit of the doubt in a circumstance like this. It's obviously he's not fighting in Oakland again... try being more objective.

Calzaghe won his belt outside of Wales against another Uk fighter while Ward got his titlefight with Kessler in Jokeland with based referee an judges.

Calzaghe was never in a tournament like the supersix in a tournament the belt shouldn't matter and the fights should take place in neutral places.

Ward is possibly the reason why Kessler will have to retire, shame he couldnt retire Kessler with his fists is it, i read earlier how you think the majority of Ward hater are Kessler fans, did you ever think that the sickening butts were the reason why they dislike him and not the fact he outboxed Kessler?

When Abraham actually retires a fighter without the use of his fists but with the use of his head you can then accuse him of being as dirty as Ward.:good
