Dirrell has the fastest hands in Boxing right now in my judgment. Could be a problem for Dawson. I'll make a bold prediction after tonight's hysteria dies down, though.
Depends. I've certainly seen better of Dawson than tonight but increasingly I find that Dirrell is improving and utilizing his natural talents much more. I also think he's hungrier. Maybe the key to growing as a fighter is to take on Carl Froch? Kessler, Pascal, Dirrell?
Dawson has more pop in his punches and a great outside game, but Dirrell might be too fast, too slick for him. If Dawson was able to hurt him, probably wouldn't do it due to lack of killer instinct. Like someone else said, he's used to fighting backwards and when he starts going on the attack forwards, doesn't know how to finish a fighter. Kinda similar situation like Sergio Martinez. Fighters that underrate their own power.
Personally, I think Dirrell whips the **** out of Dawson and probably stops him mid-late rounds. Dawson would not only be beaten but he will be schooled and throughly exposed against Dirrell.
Dirrell is a seriously talented fighter. He put it altogether last time out, but people only seem to remember the controversy. Shame. He was clowning Abraham.
If Dirrell gets off first and utilizes that jab he can beat Dawson. After tonight, a faster and hungrier opponent is "Bad" for Chad. Lets see what Dirrell does against Ward whenever the hell they fight. It'll be interesting because both fighters are still improving.
Dirrell KO1 Pac via straight left. Pac would have to jump to hit Dirrell. Crazy thing is, is there isnt much difference in speed between Manny and the Matrix.:deal
If Dirrell does 'the running man' like he did against Froch, Dawson takes it hands down. But if he fights like he did against hard punching AA he will have no problem with Dawson I guess. I expect the 2nd is the most likely right now with Dirrell beïng confident and knowing Dawson is quite beatable.
I'm not saying Dirrell wouldn't beat Pac. I"m saying that Pac's left is better. That thing carried his career for a long time.
Dirrell vs Ward is a real treat. Both fighters could conceivably go onto great things in my mind. They have talent too burn...the both of them.
