Fair enough, and in my opinion, an accurate, astute, and realistic view of the professional boxing world. Love Floyd or hate him, the fact remains, he is the best. :good

But opinions are not facts and one fact that is very telling is that most, for some reason feel Manny is the best fighter in boxing. Of course that's their own personal opinion...it just so happens that there are more opinions favoring Manny than Floyd.

LOL, that Mayweather is the world's best boxer is much more than OPINION, and closer to fact then the emotions running those who deny real talent. The man is UNDEFEaTED, beat Mosley like a drum, and will do the same to Pacq even easier then he did Mosley. Even following that, haters will have their unreal OPINIONS against the FACTS. :yep

 

LOL that you are basing that assumption at a very basic and surface level. Floyd is a great technical and fundemental boxer. But boxing has many elements and being a "FIGHTER" is a huge one.

There are NO hope for those who deny real talent on either side of the coin. Talent is something that's hard to miss and Floyd has a lot of it. So does Manny.

Floyd is undefeated...so is JCC Jr. Having an undfeated record is nice but isn't the end all be all. Substance with what makes up ones career in terms of the challenges you've faced, the way that you performed and the consistancy that has been displayed are all more important than just having an undefeated record.

Sure Floyd has a stellar career overall. His greatness as a pure boxer is evident. Talent wise his only rival is Manny. So he's rightfully considered ONE of the best. Most consider Manny the best...not from a pure boxing standpiont but as a FIGHTER in boxing.

Based on resumes...meaning, the actual "substance" that makes up someone's resume Floyd has a VERY GOOD resume. He's got wins over DLH and Shane who are the only two GREAT fighters on his ledger, but have a good Resume when being as great as Floyd is, doesn't really do his legacy justice.

Manny on the other hand is great in his own right and has a GREAT resume that matches. Which earned him not only fighter of the year 3 times in a row but also Fighter of the Decade which only further support that most feel Floyd...as great as he is...still is behind Manny.

Is it possilbe that Floyd beats Manny....easier than he did Shane no less, possible? sure....it's just not likely. That would be like Manny dominating DLH or Ricky better and easier than Floyd.

At the time it was considered HIGHLY UNLIKELY....yet in boxing....anything will and does happen. So yea...Floyd could potenially have an easier night with Manny although it's more likely to see a ***** turn away $1million for a trick.
