    a typical excuse we hear from lil gs superfans is...."andre ward couldn't make 168 anyway" ...amongst many, many, others....

    first off..mr ward has never given us a reason to not believe his word....if he says he could have made it....youd have to believe him

    second....and most importantly...ward was keeping himself halfway between 175 and 168 in case lil g grew a pair of nuts and wanted to fight at 168....that way he wasn't fully committing his body to lhw yet.....

    once he realized lil g wanted no parts and there was no reason he went to full 175 for the barrera fight

    if ward was going to 175 and couldn't make 168 anymore why would he keep himself working towards making a weight under 172? ward weighed in slightly under 172 for the smith fight

    his opponent weighed in over 175...smith weighed in at 176.....if ward was a lhw who couldn't have made 168 then....he would have just made the smith fight a lhw....smith came in over the lhw limit anyway

    this clearly suggests ward was keeping his weight in check for a potential return to 168....

    unfortunately lil g never sprouted a sack and we never got the chance to see it

    oh well...andre ward on to bigger and better challenges against people with actual stones!

    even though he said he would fight lil g at 168....and fought his comeback fight at 171...lol....if he couldn't make 168 why didn't he just fight his smith fight at 175? smith weighed in at 176

    he fought smith at 171 so he can ease into the weight class

    The reality is ward should of moved to 175 long time ago pascal is smaller then him yet moved up long time ago and i respect him for that.

    we will see how ward will fare against kovalev for me his first real test

    Smith was going to be fined for missing the set weight for the fight but wards team dropped the fine after the fight. 30k I believe it was.

    I was actually going to say here that I can't believe he has finally made a non-Golovkin thread.

    Instead, Loudon was right, this amoeba is going for 50-0 in Golovkin threads. It's like GGG peed on Schlongster's brain or something :-(

    he wasn't trying to ease into anything...he was keeping his weight at a level that would make it easier to get back to 168 next time out if lil g would sprout a sack

    of course lil g hasn't sprouted one yet still.....

    I like both GGG and Ward, I don't blame GGG for not fighting Ward, Ward is a naturally bigger dude than GGG in a higher weight class and GGG still has room to prove he is the man at 160lb.

    Ward never wanted the Golovkin fight the only time he called for it was when GGG was signed to fight david

    why didn't ggg say "were fighting Lemieux...but how bout we talk when that's over? how bout something next year? maybe spring"?

    but they didn't...said no thanks...said were not interested

    cause they are weak...and afraid of a loss...a sure loss...lololol
