I don't think Hunter is a good enough trainer for someone like Khan. He's got a special fighter but I don't rate him too much as a trainer. He's another arrogant, bull**** merchant who takes far too much credit away from his fighter. Khan would have been better off with someone like Steward, but I don't think he should have changed at all. When he gets knocked out again, I look forward to him pinning the blame on Hunter and then probably worming his way back in with Roach.

Ray Arcel would struggle with Khan. He's just flawed and too ignorant, and arrogant, to learn.

Nice to get SOG's thoughts. Hopefully some of his aura can rub off onto Khan. He's a good influence and a good person for Khan to look up to.

Regarding the priority stuff, I don't think there'll be an issue. Does Ward train out of Hunter's gym, or his own? I presume it's out of Hunter's, in which case, it'll be ok for Khan whose main worry was him having travel to different places for camps. With Ward and Hunter, he'll just be remaining in Oakland (or wherever they're based).

Still having doubts about them being a good match, though.

Well, really: what would you expect him to say?

Like everyone else, he knows it's only a matter of time before Khan gets ktfo again. Being that Khan makes as large, or larger purses than Ward, might as well let Hunter get in on that for as long as it lasts. How would it appear if Ward said anything to potentially spoil that?

Will Khan be getting his magic shakes from Conte instead of Ariza?

khan will win a world title again either @ 140 or 147, then will talk about a mega fight v mayweather or pacquiao and get ktfo before

I think it was the Peterson fight where Khans training camp started in the UK, moved to the US then onto the Philippines and finally back to the US.
When you're a world champion and you're playing second fiddle to a midget on a camp that takes in three continents, you've got to make a change.

  12. I agree Jack. Hunter has a special fighter on his hands. Ward would be good with any trainer.

    Who else has Hunter nurtured?

He strikes me as an arrogant blowhard. I cannot abide idiots who say "we" when they talk about their fighter. "We will throw lots of uppercuts". Roach does it as well.:rofl:patsch

Then no one today would be good enough for Khan including Steward

I'm guessing Amir saw Ward's great use of the jab along with slickness and thinks he can become like that with the help of Hunter. I'm hoping it's like this instead of Amir just being a status ***** who is going with the trainer with the rising star fighter--similar to how he joined the Wildcard

Ward is even more vocal than Floyd and Bernard about how stupid someone must be to feel macho just because they got hit and played an ironman contest.

The footage is still clear in my mind of Amir saying to his S&C coach how it won't be exciting if he attempts a stick-n-move approach.

Amir needs more than just a change in training methods. He needs psychological help. Getting hit isn't G, maybe hitting is G, but getting hit isn't G.
