Yeah he is a knob head.

But still if we are being realistic, there's what? Three guys at 140 we'd pick over him? Maybe

The kid can still have a good career, even if he DOESN'T improve at all. Just navigate him clear of punchers unless absolutely necessary. He beat Maidana, once in a while he'll get through them ok.

If Hunter can teach him to fight with his head, and use the Kotelnik type strategy then he can compete with anyone in the division.

Kotelnik was a MUCH better boxer than Maidana and Garcia, and he could barely lay a glove on Khan over the course of 12 rounds.

I'd also like to see if Hunter can teach Khan to go to the body more, he can be devestating there and clearly does more damage with Body shots than head shots.

It'll be interesting regardless. And I don't think he's as "done" as most.

and i don't see the problem in him seeking a new coach, it's his career, if he thinks a change is needed why not?

didn't de la hoya go through 8 or 9 coaches and blame each one after a bad performance or a loss?

    exactly.

    It is what it is.

You know if he strings a couple of half decent wins together a lot of people will change their tune, it always happens

Exactly. And people equate that to "blaming the trainer" :patsch

Some fighters just feel the need to move to another coach to improve other areas of the game.

Well Khan may have not grammatically blamed Roach for the loss to Garcia but I do believe his actions and certain indirect comments definitely did seem to put blame on Roach......Especially the comment where Khan said that he and Manny are not the best defensively, he could have chosen another fighter with leaky defense to make his point but he chose another Roach trainer fighter.

I don't think it helped that Khan's main stable mate was one of the cash cows in the division. I think it'll help him a lot being round somebody who he obviously has no chance of ever fighting in the future.

Khan talks a lot of crap.

But have you seen how Roach has done this year? Awful....

Maybe Freddie is stretching himself too thin, maybe he's coming to an end.

I don't know for sure, but he's been sorely lacking in many fights this year.

I'm not defending Roach, my post to Uncle Rico was in response to him saying that Khan is not blaming Roach and my response is basically saying he is not outright blaming Roach verbally but he is by his actions and indirect comments that he has made.

I think both Roach and Khan share blame on why the Garcia fight unfolded the way it did.
