Andre Ward and Carl Froch have no chance of beating Golovkin

I just want to see GGG fight some credible opponents before we go on about him destroying bigger guys. I like GGG but I wind up playing devils advocate a lot because while he is doing well unfortunately his division is nothing to brag about. He looks good yes but his opposition isn't elite. Is it his fault, no. Then you have a lot of his fans on here calling the fighters at JMW cowards for not coming up but when you mention GGG going up they flip. Also consider that a lot of the JMWs their calling out have already moved up a division or 2 it's just plain mind numbing. If his die hard fans can get grounded he will get a lot less hate on this site.

 

This ! Let's see how GGG does first up at SMW against fighters that are a lot bigger , tougher, hit harder, and faster than he is before we jump to conclusions. I for one think he is too small and his speed isnt all that great for him to move up and dominate.

 

To apply an inside game on a smaller, powerfull opponent isn't easy. When Ward fought AA he stayed on the outside, because on the inside AA had more compact movements. GGG seems to be able to get his shots off nicely on close range. Ward could clinch, of course, but for stated reasons I doubt he would outland GGG on the inside.

This said, I also think the size diffrence could be too much.

 

Ward's best chance is his using superior close-range fighting compared to GGG, tying up and frustrating him

Froch's best chance is his granite chin, though I can't see how he'd have much of a chance at this point
