Andre Ward and Eddie Chambers assisted by BALCO founder Victor Conte!

(WTF? The thread I was about to post in was deleted. This is boxing related news and the following discussion is as legit as any other on a boxing board. I'd be very disappointed to see this thread deleted) My post anyway:

I'm extremely disappointed to hear another boxers being assisted by a well known steroid supplier, Victor Conte, who made a large amount of his money by selling then-untracable drugs to Olympians and other athletes inlc. Shane Mosley. The guy who served jail time for these things under Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative (BALCO), now founded SNAC (Scientific Nutrition for Advanced Conditioning), and helping other athletes, Andre Ward's and Eddie Chamber's name came up today. But seriously guys... BALCO, SNAC call whatever you want it... it's the same person behind it, so what's the difference? How could anyone trust this guy - this is the same question Travis Tygart of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency asks in a well-known Los Angeles newspaper.

Conte's name is as good on the market as Duracell in batteries, so I can't even imagine why would athletes contact him. It's like Javier Capetillo founding SHEP: "Scientific Handwrapping for Extra Power". I'd avoid him like plague.

 

Please notice that neither the article in a Los Angeles newspaper nor this topic accuses anyone of doing anything wrong, this is just a discussion about the recent news of two fighters using the help of a very controversial figure.

 

In the article Conte says he's clean now and selling legal suppliments and techniques incl. energy shakes and pills, also a machine called hypoxic training (IHT). The Anti-Doping expert however states that a convicted felon could still sell dirty suppliment and asks the rethorical question who knows what's in his stuff. Chambers praises Conte's products and Ward says he's very watchful and reads all the lables before touching it.
