Ward thinks the Super Six wins will marinate over time into something spectacular. They should re package all those fights and run them every weekend on BET.

I'm not a big fan of that matchup because of the large weight difference. Ward will be a dead man at 164 and Golovkin is fine doing what he is doing at 160. He doesn't need Ward. They shouldn't need each other. I'm tired about hearing about this unrealistic fantasy matchup.

It's not unrealistic at all, and clearly no fantasy match-up. It's, in fact, potentially one of the biggest fights in all of boxing that can be made which is realistic, unlike pipe dreams like GGG-Floyd or GGG-Cotto/Canelo, and it's also the #1 challenge to GGG south of 175.

All of that aside, you didn't answer my question.

I would say yes. Because I think Ward will beat GGG. How is GGG vs Cotto/Canelo a pipe dream? Same weight class.

Because I don't think Cotto will fight him - EVER - and I don't think Canelo will fight him for at least 2 years after he was to hypothetically beat Cotto, because they saw what procrastination did for Pacquiao and Mayweather.

Also, I believe GGG would fight Ward, especially if encouraged and motivated to do so by HBO/Roc (I'm talking incentive).

If I'm right, and Canelo won't face GGG, and Lee loses to BJS... how does GGG follow up his PPV debut? (Assuming it does modestly successful numbers based on expectations).

Oh ok. Yes that's a very good question and could be troubling if he cant get the Cotto/Canelo winner. Jacobs and Quillin are with Haymon so we can rule those fight out pretty much. This could be GGG one and only PPV? :D

Well, it will depend on the numbers, but even if it's only the least bit successful, he'll get another. But I think he will have a window of opportunity where he will need a dance partner that generates a lot of interest.

Obviously Cotto and Canelo would provide that, so if I'm wrong, and one of them does take the challenge, then that's obviously what will happen.

But if I'm right, and the procrastination tactic is employed, I see two other potential options:

    1. Andy Lee
    2. Andre Ward

Maybe I am honestly missing someone else that fits the bill?

Because I'm pretty sure that if HBO has Ward-Golovkin, they can still have Ward-Kovalev and Canelo-GGG, too. They can also still have Ward-Golovkin after a Canelo-GGG fight.

And as far as the procrastination tactic goes, I feel Canelo will use that with Golovkin, Golovkin is using it already with Ward, and Ward is in the early process of utilizing it for Sergey.

Do you kind of see what I'm getting at?

Again, things would have to break a certain way. But it's not THAT unlikely for things to play out as I'm imagining? Is it?

And the scenario I see as most likely, with everything else proving true of course, would be a testament to GGG as being the one man to finally step and break this disturbing trend in the balance.

But then again, maybe I'm just a burn out.

So you think Canelo will duck GGG in spite of the fact that he will get stripped of his title after he just won it... Canelo doesn't strike me as that kind of guy. Besides, they sparred before and apparently it was fairly competitive so he may feel good about his chances.

I honestly think Ward would do best to just take fights to take fights even if he doesnt like the money. Simply because it would help him get that GGG fight if nothing else.

Fighting another Smith level guy on C/C, picking up the pace a bit and getting em out a bit earlier. Call out GGG after the fight, at least 2mil people going to see the fight if we count HBO replay.

He can obviously fight, he just needs to get his head straight about the business and marketing.

And there are still some people who argue Ward should be P4P #1 :D

Well at least he has options. I don't see why he is not choosing to be the co-feature on Cotto/Canelo though. If he fights on his own card it will likely be at the same old Oracle Arena in Oakland he has fought in countless times. If he fights in Vegas he gets placed on a big platform in front of fans who would not normally watch his fights and that's going to be the best way to grow his audience which he desperately needs to do.

You're so biased towards Ward it's not even funny anymore. Encouraged? Give us a break Rummy, the self-entitled ***** here is Ward and you'll never admit it. 2M to fight E-Rod and Smith? He'll demand something along the lines of 10M for Golovkin and you know it, as long as he can't resign himself to being B-side that's gonna flush his career down the drain. He simply overrates his drawing power beyond imagination. Simple as.

Why do you think he's struggling to get on the Canelo-Cotto PPV? The man wants too much money for what he is, I don't know how many times it has to be said.

Golovkin be duckin doe. Or in your words, procrastinatin.

He's stalling on the undercard because HBO wants him to agree to future dates. Which most likely means Kovalev next. And Ward is going to avoid that like Cotto has been ignoring GGG. They don't want it.

Roc nation is making rookie mistakes and paying for it. They are probably thankful Broner turned them down. They are going to lose a lot of money on Andre.
