To be fair to Mikey, he does have the style to attract a lot of viewers and he has the mexicans+mexican americans behind him. He has far more viewership potential than Ward, it's really a shame that he's going to be inactive for nearly 2 years, who knows how good he is now, and what weight class he's even going to fight in.

 

He ****ed up his career due to greed, if he only was more patient... Although saying that, it seems with Mexican-Americans, they do less numbers than actual Mexicans, I mean, he would never pull Canelo type numbers, that's for certain. (even though he's better than him)

 

Yeah, but he could have pulled real decent numbers, he had a really good resume for a 26 year old, and his record was very impressive. If he went on at that pace he could have been like nearly 40-0, and he would have beat Gamboa too imo. Such a waste of a career, he was on the road to an ATG type career, I really dont see anyone beating him besides Crawford but Crawford has already moved up.

 

Lol, for the first time I actually agree with you. If 130 Mikey was still around I'd pick him to beat anyone from 126-135.

 

We actually only disagree mostly on GGG matters tbh. I think Mikey still will be decent when he's back, but 2 years is such a waste of someone's prime.

i was thinking of guillermo jones and i was wrong. a year and a half twice, and more than a year everytime.

 

I like it when Ward fights at Oracle Arena. Its the only fight I know I can go to and get in for free practically. I get there about 15 minutes before the card begins and I always find a few guys giving out tickets.
