My problem is that for many lists I've seen, Ward has risen to a clear number 2 "right on Mayweather's heels" for a win over a guy who was obviously drained and obviously didn't belong that low. Marquez and Mayweather both belong ahead of him, with Donaire, Martinez, and Ward being pretty interchangeable after those 2.

Did he not pass on the chance to become undisputed at 168lb when he didn't fight bute? Also when did he ever fight at 175lb?:huh

Ward is not undisputed in 2 divisions, he hasnt beaten the LHW champ at LHW or fought in a major fight at that weight.
The last fighter that I can recall being undisputed in 2 divisions was Calzaghe, who had beaten Kessler who Ward beat some years later and Hopkins after at LHW. If Ward had of gone up to LHW he would have suceeded in what you say.
You say Mayweather doesnt fight enough, but look how many SMW ratings still rate Dirrell in their top 10, when he doesnt fight very orten and not against the top men. Floyd in his last fight beat Cotto, who has done more than Kessler or Dawson.
Marquez beat a disputed P4P #1 in his last fight. Donaire, Mares and W Klitschko have all of late fought at a higher level.

He beat the man at 175, even if they met at 168. End of story. The rest of the 175lber's, they are lucky he handled that division in one fight. They don't want none of that. Ask Hopkins.

Read the comment above this one. He beat the man at 175. There is noone in that division that even wants to fight Ward. P4P #1, end of story. I love how you ****s **** all over his Bad Chad win. Just wait and watch Bad Chad clean out 175 again, then Ill bring this thread back up.

LOL Bute? This dude actually thinks belts matter anymore. Watch Bute vs Froch again, and see how he got handled like a little boy. Bute needs to stay out of the real men fights, and go get that hometown Canada money against bums. LOL, this dude actually brought up the belts, this will have me laughing all week long.

Wow. Dude nobody is saying Ward wouldn't beat Dawson or the other guys at 175. He hasn't yet. I dunno if all the LHW are ducking him, it's not like he's tried making a fight at 175. Dawson preferred 175 or even 170, Ward wouldn't budge.

Why the **** would Ward go to 175 and make 1/4 of the money there? He already knew he would KO anyone in that division (see Ward vs Bad Chad again) so why waste his time. Or are you insinuating that Bad Chad was weight drained and would have somehow magically beat Ward at 175? Bad Chad campaigned at 168 most of his career, going back down there was nothing to him. Hence why he challenged Ward there. Please, stop diminishing Ward's win over Bad Chad. I am sick and tired of hearing everyone try and make excuses for why he is not #1 p4p.

More active wtf? He just beat down everyone and anyone at 168/175 back to back to back like it wasn't ****. Then called out Floyd at 160. Get the **** outta here. Stop making excuses for why he is not #1 p4p. And then look at the poll.

    he hasnt fought at 175....

He wont go up or down 1 unless its against a t 147 lb fighter

he may be the only fighter in the top ten P4P who has not fought out side his normal division...

he is not Number 1 but i dont mind seeing him at 2

GTFO Dawson hadn't fought at 168 in like 6 years, never won a title, never ranked top 10 at 168. Hey did you know DLH won a world title at 130, he must have been super strong at 147 for Pac.

He can't be the 175 champ if all his fights are contested at 168, that's like a basic principle of boxing. I mean, what other misconceptions about boxing are you carrying?

I'll tell you what misconception you are carrying. Denial that Ward is p4p#1 no matter what ****ing excuse you can come up with. Deal with it, he took the man at 175 and handled him like he wasn't ****. But Chad was weight drained right? Sorry, to me, that makes him undisputed 175 champ (unless you believe in bull**** belts that mean absolute zero to me). And ask Hopkins, noone at 175 (or anywhere else) wants any of Ward.
