Andre Ward Backtracks On His Tweets Toward Deontay Wilder

What's the problem? Ward said the truth. Wilder lost and he received a draw as a gift. Fury took Wilders best shots and came back. And this was maybe 70 or 80% Fury. He will be even better after having such a fight and more time to prepare. I do not see Wilder winning the second fight. Maybe another gift.

 

Exactly right. People having a go at ward for speaking the truth and saying what everyone else basically said.

 

This. Ward isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. At the time I thought that was a very dumb statement by Ward. There wasn’t any problem with him saying Wilder lost, but to say Wilder would be too scared to have a re-match with Fury that soon after the fight said a lot about Ward.

 

What’s wrong with it though? It’s just an opinion which he’s entitled to. The rematch hasn’t happened yet and he could still be right couldn’t he?

Spotlight being on Wilder for whatever reason

 

There is always going to be a spotlight on someone. And it's Ward's job to give his take on the fights.
But whenever he opens his mouth, it's jealousy?

 

He backtracked under fire from a certain group. Very vocal group... One that does not give a **** about boxing. Or talent, skill or merit for that matter. Sad!

 

Only just seen the fight today,on the radio it sounded like a draw was fair but having now seen it I can’t give Wilder any rounds other than the two with knock downs,how corrupt was the pre filled card for Wilder?

Having only just seen that fight I don’t give Wilder a hope in a rematch,he can’t disguise the right hand and you have to say the knockdowns were kinda strange with Fury ducking low,if Fury stays tall i don’t give Wilder a hope.

 

Ward is pretty well spoken and quite intelligent. If that means he isn't the "sharpest tool in the shed" I guess that means we have some MENSA members on here.
