I disagree with you and im sure most americans would too... I personally know so several people born in Mexico,Central America, China,Asia... THe ones that were raised here since childhood would be totally out of their element, and most would feel as out of place as any other American...
Being from Southern California where there are many residents foreign born but raised here, i think i Know a little more than Euros,or some others on this topic..... Abner Mares is another one born in Mexico but raised here and listening to him you would automatically assume he is 100% american Same with Liberado Andrade.. Versus a guy like Margarito who was born in the US but raised in Mexico, Same thing Margarito is 100% Mexicano nothing American about the way he talkes,Style etc etc.

I said that I personally base a fighters nationality on where they are born, but I can accept that from an American perspective that you would base a fighters nationality on what MW and Anarci mentioned, based on citizenship. Although that isn't my ideal way of basing nationality, it is the custom in your country so I can accept that. It's just my opinion that a fighters nationality based on their birthplace, just like it's your opinion to base nationality on something else. If that's your preference for judging that matter, then I can't argue with it, that kind of thing is subjective, as proven by the debates it's sparked on here before.
