1000% agree. The winner of the Super 6 will not only be the number 1 Super Middleweight currently, but he will also go down as the greatest Super Middleweight of all time............this is coming for a massive Calzaghe fan.

I just don't see Bute being in the pciture by then anyway.

Agreed. Works both ways though. If the winner doesnt face Bute they can't be #1 either.

    I strongly disagree.

Ward covered this in the video and I believe he was 100% on point.

Bute is not facing the level of competition that these guys in the Super Six have in front of them on a consistent basis.

Whoever winds up on top in the Super Six is head and shoulders above Bute.

Simply put, Bute will need the Super 6 Champion more than the Super 6 Champion would need him.

I just don't see the fight coming off. Bute is a protected fighter. he is not in the super 6 for a reason, his team didn't fancy it.

But if it's Kessler winning the tournament for instance, how would you look at him in comparisson to Calzaghe. Is he better than when he fought Calzaghe or would he be regarded as the best SMW after the Welshman?

That's always a matter of whom Bute faces until the end of the Super 6...

By September, some guys in the tournament could be eliminated and tempted to fight Bute on HBO for decent money.

Bute could also fight the winner of Pascal-Dawson and winning such a fight would certainly put him in a well regarded position.

As long as HBO want Bute to fight for their network, he should be OK to get the fights that could propel him to being the best between 168-175lbs.

He was never invited and it's been talked here on so many occasions anyways.

    - Carl Froch's team didn't fancy facing Bute for an IBF eliminator before facing Tatevosyan back then.

    - Allan Green's team didn't fancy facing Bute twice in the past for better money than he's ever made and a chance for an instant belt.

    The man is superavoided :D

Holding super 6 is a way to protect the best fighters of SMW against Bute:D

Be patient! Bute will have a shot the Super Six fighters once they are eliminated from the tournament. The icy on the cake will be the winner of the tournament. Bute is now with HBO! Trust me, HBO will be more than happy to matching Bute against the winner of S6 end of 2011 or early 2012.

Bute is only facing hand picked opponents. Come forward slowish and limited fighters. Bute shouldn't really qualify for a direct shot at the s6 winner. Instead he should fight one of the 2 elimated before the semis and maybe also a semifinal loser before getting a shot at the winner.

    That's how I see it.

It most likely will happen as long as the guys eliminated are willing to fight him on HBO.
