Of course people can score it other ways. The judges didnt agree with all of the rounds, so that makes your arguement look and sound as ridiculous as you cheerleading now. I scored it for Kovalev and it does appear that the majority did also
It feels good to be in the winner's circle don't it. It don't feel good to be in the loser's circle. And I'm not saying this to like brag about it or make anyone feel bad who was pulling for Kovalev. I mean we've all been there. It sucks to lose, and winning is just a lot better and more fun. Seeing your fighter win is awesome, and seeing your fighter lose sucks. When you win, you automatically have the upper hand, everything's right with the world and if you object, you're nuts right. If you win, you don't have to make excuses or act like something's broken.
The scoring of this fight sort of reminds me of Canelo Vs Lara with Canelo winning the fight mostly with landed body work. I didn't agree with that decision because I felt that Canelo's body attack wasn't as effective as Canelo's head shots. But Ward's body attack though, was much more pronounced and effective than Canelo's, and it opened up Kovalev for solid head shots in rounds 10-12.
114-113, crying isn't gonna change that result. I suggest you learn how to score a fight and peep it in HD. AND THE NEW
I don't think Lampley was biased though, and I honestly believe he was rooting for Ward. He was getting seriously emotional in the final round talking about the sand in the hourglass running out on Ward being undefeated and all that. I mean I don't think pointing out where Kovalev was doing good work is such a disgraceful thing. If he had been cheerleading for Ward he'd have been accused of being unprofessional. Frankly, I think the only thing that was a disgrace was Lederman especially giving that 9th round to Kovalev. If anything Jim was probably being too influenced by Lederman and didn't want to be as vocal that Ward was still in the fight as Max and Roy were.
Crying? Why would I cry about a boxing result? Sure if the majority feel a certain fighter won and they dont get the decision, you feel for that sportsman, but its no more than that. I think you seem to be having a worse time trying to change peoples perceptions for some reason as if not convinced yourself but just pleased with the result
He was shouting 'hard shot from Kovalev' then the replay showed the punch didn't land at all. He was stitting there right in front of them. He knew damn well the punch didn't land. Then he was saying Ward was holding and was corrected by Kellerman who told him it was Kovalev doing the hold.
Call me crazy but those seemed to be honest mistakes. And with the punch that he said Kovalev land, if I recall correctly there was a replay after the round ended after where he admitted it actually didn't land. I mean in the first fight of the night he or Max apparantly didn't hear Stevens say that he hurt his left hand after the 3rd round, and it took about 4 or 5 rounds if I'm not mistaken for them to get that information as to why Stevens wasn't performing like he was early. Again, Lampley may have been over-excited thinking Kovalev was landing, but I just don't think his pro-Kovalev comments / mistakes were as sinister as you seem to think it was. Basically I'm giving Lampley the benefit of the doubt, I could be wrong but to me it didn't seem like he had an axe to grind with Ward or anything like that. I think it was his way of trying to be percieved as professional, maybe he over did it though at times. But to Max and Roy's credit they came in and corrected him and / or Lederman to balance out the telecast. I mean I really felt like Lampley was over come with emotion due to the fact that he was calling such an entertaining fight, you know Lampley longs for these incredible nights that don't seem to happen as often as he would probably. I mean he seemed genuinely overcome with grief at the thought that Ward could be losing his 0 in the final round !
Eh, not really. Don't really care what random casuals or butthurt fan boys think. A lot of people had Diaz beating McGregor the 2nd time around, just baseless opinions from casuals with no reason though. Not trying to convince anyone of anything, just laughing at the people like you constantly crying over the result like it'll change anything. I ordered the fight, watched it without any bias and scored accordingly. 7 rounds to 5 is the correct score. Every respectable poster has that score as well, no need to convince anyone anything. 8)
Close fight could have gone either way ward edged it out. People need to quit calling close fights robberies. The hooker fight earlier was a robbery. Learn the difference.
Every respectable poster? So you are trying to change perceptions and thats tough for someone. You will be spending alot of time on here trying to get people to change what they saw with their own eyes
