For all his faults, I don't think heart is one of Wilder's.

They make these videos too long. I can barely watch Ward for 18 mins when he's fighting. It's 2019 people, anything over 60 secs is a tl;dw (unless there's female nudity ofc)

    Agreed 100 percent.

People have always made the mistake that Wilder's team being extra cautious in matchmaking for most of his career meant Wilder himself didn't have heart or a champions will.

That's a big, big mistake. The reason Wilder is so dangerous is because he doesn't get discouraged even when he's losing and has the heart of a lion. That's a dangerous combo when the dude can one shot you.

I figured the ortiz fight and round 12 vs fury proved this

I don't like Wilder but to say he has no heart is a little strong, he showed against Ortiz he has heart, he showed heart against Fury to be fair, he was getting beaten, he was way behind in the opinion of most people coming out for the last round but was still trying to win and giving it his all.

Why do I love Andre ****ING Ward?!!! What kind of nuts does it take for him to reject an attempt to drag him into the muck? SOG indeed

I don't like Wilder but he clearly has a will to win and extreme belief, even if it's delusional in a way. Ortiz fight proved it, he was getting beat up badly in there. Ward took a crooked wrist right counter from Kovalev and pretends he overcame a gunshot wound with the greatest heart of all time.

You can tell Ward likes hearing himself talk. Good video though. I mean he kind of did question Wilder's heart. But that dude interviewing him is just a race baiter. It's not that serious buddy.

Wilder has a tremendous heart,to get outboxed by every opponent he faces and yet pull off those late knockouts takes heart.

Yeah one thing Wilder has tons of is heart, that imo cannot be questioned after the Ortiz and Fury displays (was losing both fights and never got discouraged). If the thread was Wilder has no intelligence in or out of the ring, then it would be a different discussion!

Ward came off well there, didn't put his foot in his mouth like he all too often does. Questioning Wilder's heart though is a stretch, I get what he's saying about not wanting to fight an awkward fighter like Fury again who will frustrate him all night long but how else can you take that other than him questioning his heart? While Fury isn't the type of fighter to make you dig deep if hurt, you you can dig deep in other ways, like not quitting when frustrated, not giving up no matter how many rounds you have lost etc. So saying Wilder might not want that again is clearly questioning his heart, so in that regard Ward is wrong in my opinion.

Wilder has shown he can hang in there and dig deep in the Ortiz fight, he survived that tough round and didn't just fold like some fighters do when under pressure, he clearly believes in himself and isn't a quitter.
