Well, I had Hopkins beating Pascal pretty clearly - and of course Pascal clearly beat Dawson, who was ranked in many top 5's :patsch

Ward I think is superb, even though his record isn't particularly deep he did a number on Kessler.... who went on to beat Froch next time out. There's also a few solid wins on the record - which will be added to when he beats Abraham next.

I wouldn't have any argument with you replacing them with more established fighters, but many of the 6-10 guys are interchangable, I just prefer those two.

Yeah, too many people kneejerk with the P4P lists which I try not to do..... I just think that Ward and Gamboa would take some beating, and have both beaten quality fighters.

Froch has to be in there for me, many people wouldn't pick him though.

Hopkins should be in the rankings.
Ward should be in top 10 AFTER he wins the Super Six.

    You are an abject ****.

American hype jobs? As opposed to the fantastic fighters that the UK has been producing?? :rofl

Haye is a punk and bound for a KO at the hands of Wlad. Khan had best enjoy his time at 140lbs, because when he moves up to 147, he's meat for Ortiz. And Froch? Really?

The Ring basically is not the "best fighters" but the most popular and paid in the sport will be rank...

To me this is a ridiculous ranking and shows just how pointless and stupid P4P rankings are if this guy can get in the top 10.

Nothing more than a cynical move by golden boy to tap into the lucrative religious nutter market. Bible belt yankee hicks will buy anything if they think its god squad endorsed.

Hence that headbutting disgrace with a fear of open spaces (who also happens to believe in an invisible man in the clouds) is a perfect vehicle to sell to the weak.

Why hasnt anyone noted that Ward hasnt fought for over 4 months and just got entered in to The Ring top 10. Normally a fighter goes in after an impressive win etc. Ward last beat Bika, not even as convincingly as Calzaghe or Bute and then 4 months later The Ring put Ward into the P4P ratings????
This is like when The Ring made Ward #1 over Bute with no real justification

    So true.

Kessler the 2 time WBC & 2 time WBA champ with the best active SMW resume was not seen in the P4P ratings. Yet Ward beating an unwell double vision suffering Kessler is P4P worthy, not to forget beating Green who had lost to Miranda and was KOd in his very next fight by a gatekeeper in his 40s, and Bika who was beaten more convincingly by Calzaghe and Bute.

I think these fighters are more worthy for the P4P raings

V Klitschko is more deserving in the ratings in my opinion.

D Haye won WBC WBA WBO Ring CW titles and the WBA HW title with many away wins in around 24 fights yet is not in the P4P ratings

Z Erdei an undefeated 2 weight world champ with a better resume is not considered in the P4P ratings, though admit he hasnt done much of late, but then neither has Mayweather

Vitali Klitschko and Cotto deserve more to be in the P4P top 10 than Ward. However, having Ward in the top 10 is not so bad as having Gamboa in, which is what Yahoo has. IMO, the Ring's list is still better than Yahoo's.

Ward bloodied Kessler up in a very easy win.

Froch went life and death with Kessler and lost.
