Did he ever knock someone out cold without the referee stopping the fight while they are standing? i Checked boxrec and he had two knockouts. One of them I saw the fight and the ref stopped it while he was standing. The other is not on youtube. If he never did, I would be pretty surprised if a p4p never in their whole career knocked someone out.

He has 13 KOs according to boxrec.

Edit: I see what you mean, 11 are TKO's, 2 are straight KO's.

Concentrates on short, quick straights and hooks inside, not big wide power shots. That's his style.

Ward doesn't have much power. One of his sparring partners has been quoted as saying that Ward "punches like a baby" lol

it's more of a credit to guys like Ward and Malignaggi that they're able to achieve what they have with featherfists.....they're at an automatic huge disadvantage.....I always give mad props to featherfisted fighters who succeed at the championship level, you gotta have balls to fight the best in the world knowing you can't hurt them.

Shows you that it doesn't really matter if you work hard at your craft.

I've always thought the same thing. Ward has just enough pop to keep guys off him and earn a little respect in the ring, though. He's not quite in Paulie's class.

Watch his early fights and see how aggressive he fought (although he still held). Surprises me he only stopped 2 guys flat out.

who gives a **** about the KO?????

yeah theyre cool and amazing and gets the crowd jumping out of their seats but the goal is to simply win a boxing match fair and square.

If malignaggi fought alot of these big bangers he would win.

Punching might play an important factor but its not as essentail as people make it out to be.

and fyi. Any1 can knock any1 out. if fists are flying and most shots are going to the head anything is possible.

If he scored a fight with Bute I would give him a strong chance to score a proper KO because that Chin is on the same horribly bad level as Glass Jaw Roy's. I'm pretty sure there are guys out there who could violently KO Bute with the wind from their punches.
