What Matthysse did to him was brutal, and that's outside of paying sanctioning fees, and the sanctioning body refused to follow their own rules in giving him the title shot.

You are an idiot! The African Boxing Union title is a major title as is the British Empire Commonwealth belt which push you higher up the ratings than the prestigious British Lonsdale belt. This is a horribly biased post. Kovalev clearly won the first fight in the eyes of anyone neutral. I don't like Kovalev the man and don't have any real hate for Ward. It must be a weird position to be in to the beneficiary of such a poor set of judging.
