Once he felt Barrera out, he knew he could take chances, and was going for the KO. Either way...easy win against someone considered a legitimate threat.

Let's not forget all the non believers that just swore Ward was gonna meet the end of line. And he made it look too easy. Lot of mufuuggas creating new SOG friendly alt accounts as we speak.

Ward did what he needed to do. Barrera couldn't hit Ward. Was real excited to see Ward get the knockdown as he has power at 175. Ward looked good

Lets see guys. A crazy promotional outfit offers you $2 million per fight NO MATTER WHO YOU FACE. Why would you box tough opponents? Rocnation doesn't care who Ward faces.

I totally understand Ward's choice of opposition. He picks the path of least resistance while making good money.

Ward is boring, most people would not have even watched this fight.

I thought Barrera would punch more and or use a jab. Barrera couldn't really hurt Ward I don't think. The guys Barrera Ko'd were all bums.

Yep its a gurantee of 2 mil. And a Ward vs Kovalev fight wont do good PPV numbers so Ward gets no benefit. Ward would love to fight 3-4 more $2 milm bums in Oracle if it was offered to him.

This is just a rumor. Ward allegedly owes his manager $400K in legal fees he put out for Ward in 2014.

Yeah, when he did use jab, he had more success. But, it looked to me that he got more hesitant after that early knockdown. Ward was bullying him in there, for most of the fight.

That's what a lot of people have lost sight of. Ward is now a strong light-heavy. He shoved the Cuban off of him during a clinch and pushed him halfway across the ring. There won't be that much of a strength difference when he faces Kovalev.

Kovalev is going to Lacy Ward all over the ring. The only thing Ward will do is hit, hold, butt, and rinse for however many rounds Kovalev decides to punish him.

Kovalev will look slow in there. But, he has good timing and scary power. That's all Ward has to be concerned with. He's much better in every category except punching power.

Totally agree with this. And he will be much faster too. Kovalev has more punching power and knows how to deliver it. He's also shown he can box, which makes this a great matchup.
