 Ward did good numbers on HBO, just a little shy of what Golovkin or Kovalev are doing.

Ward can't draw flies. Ward will only fight in his home town with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., Klitschkos have drawn 65,000 at ringside.......................Ward is boring.................Stevenson/Ward fight would draw, but Ward will not fight him, not even if Stevenson comes down to 168, this was heard on HBO while Ward was there...........................

Let's be honest. It's not like there are a ton of people watching BET or have ever even watched it. I've had the channel for years and only saw it maybe one other time. I think it was Nelly's reality show and I watched a total of 2 episodes.

Yeah, well European audiences are much more easily amused. If Ward ever fights in Ireland he will draw the same amount. :yep

Impressive, considering it is Ward. I wonder how many of those fell asleep instead of changing chanel, which might of get him those big numbers.

Difference was Ward wanted about twice as much money as Kovalev and Golovkin with similar ratings, which is why HBO got sick and tired of him.

Ward is his own worst enemy, he doesn't have the style to ever be a big draw that can cherry pick weak opposition and expect fans to watch him fight.

Only way he will ever become a decent draw is if he fights anyone and everyone like Hopkins did. The opposition will have to be far better for a significant number of fans to tune in and watch his fights.

Im pretty sure ward has plan's for the future of drawing bigger audiences and making bigger fights happen after his comeback, This opponent was clearly cherry picked its his first fight back after nearly 2 years off, Im sure it wasn't expected to draw a big crowd this fight was for him to try and look inpressive and make some noise which he did , and im sure jay z didn't expect to make money from this fight, Jay z is far from just a rapper who likes to put his name on things and expects them to sell because well hes jay z, He is a very wise businessman who think's long term, That means investing in fighters which might mean initially making a financial loss in the beginning.

Dawson was an established HBO regular, Golovkin did the same numbers with Monroe.
