The scariest part about that is 300,000 of those viewers tuned in to watch Paul Smith.

Black Entertainment Television is what BET stands for and aims towards African Americans. You can google it yourself to see what shows they show in case your curious.

Lol i know what it is. What i meant to say was what kind of viewership does a typical BET show get? ie how does 323,000 compare with the ratings of other shows on the network.

The ''He [Smith] traveled to do it'' line made me laugh.

funniest thing about paul smith is after getting his face smashed in twice at domestic level and then being gifted a world title shot in what most people call abraham looking for the softest fight possible, he gets this ridiculous notion that his now world class and too good for domestic level:lol:

Ward is barely a draw against name fighers on Showtime or HBO, you would expect this to be different?

    Interesting. :thumbsup

I think that gives the general idea. When I finally found BET the afternoon of Ward-Smith, it looked like the channel was in the middle of a Fresh Prince of Bel Air marathon, or something of the sort. I can't imagine reruns of that nature grabbing high viewership numbers, and BET itself is a bit of a fringe network in that it caters to a minority race where the show's content may be far more limited in scope than one that targets a more general audience.

In any case, I'd imagine that each station's typical show is a far cry from the numbers of their best show, too, which is worth considering. I know GOT, for instance, does far better than any other HBO program in recent years.

    1. How do you know someone is losing money at all, let alone hand over fist?

    2. You ever consider the bigger picture in the case of Ward and what his people are trying to maybe do?

Is the answer to question 2...Interrupt a perfectly good Fresh Prince of Bel Air marathon? :think

has to give out free tickets, does terrible ratings

can you tell me where the money is coming in ,because its easy to see where its going out?

there is no bigger picture unless ward goes up to 175 which hunter says isnt happening. So unless he gets a passport and goes across the atlantic there building him up in oakland for nothing:smoke

I tuned in to watch Ward fight. ..I never watch BET, I wasn't even sure I had the Channel. Those numbers are even worse when you consider who the intended target was and how many of them tuned in.

Out of the 323K at least 2/3 of those are people like me who never tune in to BET.

Well, it got me to tune in for a few minutes when I otherwise never would have. Incidentally, Uncle Phil was real perturbed about something in the episode I caught glimpses of.
