Ward WHEN HE FIGHTS is the P4P King. He could really make a case for top Light Heavy ever if he would FIGHT Adonis, Kovalev, and eventually Gennady. But, he's getting on my nerves with this. Such a waste of a phenomenal talent.

Ward has never in his life been a better pound for pound fighter than current peaking Chocolatito is.

(nor than previous king Mayweather - even up to & including his Showtime contract with his reflexes and overall abilities severely diminished)

Bute is levels below Ward in ability, but it would be a money maker for the boxers, their promoters, Quebec, Canada, North America and the world in general.

But Ward's fight rejected by an organized boxing group is unheard of. You have to back to the NY Boxing Commission or Club or whatever it was that refused to sanction a fight between Dempsey and Wills to find a similar situation.

Ward looks like an embarassment. Either he is hiding physical or mental issues, or he is a COWARD.

I'm seriously starting to think he really believes he's the SOG and can cherrypick his way thorugh his career for millions $$$ each time against Paul Smith level opponents, with the fans bowing down in front of him and thinking he's the new P4P king, so yeah, it could be mental issues

    Of course it's a mismatch...

My question is where have all the commissions been in the past to prevent the various other similar mismatches we get all the time?

Ward will get his 2 fights out of HBO then sue Roc/HBO and run to PBC.
    Book it.

Fights against Smith/Dunn/Murdock/Brand in no way shape or form prepare you for Kovalev, and it's not in Ward's plans to fight Kovalev.

    Risk vs. Reward

Every fighter, trainer, promoter, manager, etc. weighs the two.

When will you all listen? I've been saying ever since the Super Six that Ward sits wayyyyyyyy to far on the "Reward" end of the equation.

Ward could attempt to fight his way out of his situation, but that seems highly unlikely. He could hold a bible near his heart and pray for huge pay days once a year vs bums. Pretty much a fool proof plan.

I mean, if in a Mayweatherless boxing world like we have currently, Ward was doing the same things he was doing when he was clearing house, he is my top P4P fighter. Not Roman, because I think because even bearing relativity in mind, Andre's resume is/was more impressive.

Stop talking nonsense Bute never before or after Andrade 1 had stamina issues. And Pascal is not pressure fighter that makes you fire non stop, but quite the opposite, Bute was gun shy in that fight so he had reserves to spare. Pascal was just punched out at the end and was also hurt. It's sad to me to see a guy that has the ability to perform like Bute did in the 12th hold back because of psychological/confidence issues. Taht's why he'll probably lose on cards to Degale also. He hasn't found that place where he became confident again inside the ring, don't think it will again.

dont forget one big issue was giving an fighter only 3 weeks prep before a fight is dangerous..for gods sake ward had months to pick a foe and he stalled..the commision knows about wards ped use and if a boxer dies in the ring the duty of care falls on them...there i said it...!
