Remember when Bute said he will fight Ward in Oakland, and Andre said Bute needs to prove himself worthy. Well damn Rohan Murdock apparently is worthy enough isn't it ?

0:33 Bute says he wants to fight the winner of the Super Six.

Agreed. what happened to champions fighting champions or at least top level competition? At least Chavez Jr. fought a real light heavyweight. Ward needs to step it up or retire.

I always though Ward as been over rated and really over hyped during his layoff. How can somebody who has barely been boxing pro for 10 years be considered such a great. He has an empty 28 fight resume. Kessler was on the down slope. Dawson was drained. His only legit win is Froch. Its not hard to beat Euro style fighters that don't move their heads or bend their knees. Even Virgil said it. I need to see Ward at 35-0 before I take him seriously again. He a joke. Son Of God who has a manager that has killed people and is a dirt bag. Poor Dan Goosen didn't deserve to die his last days in court. FOCK Andre POS Ward! He a fake , a phoney and a consummate liar.

He will fight 2 bums then when its time to fight Kovalev he will go get a brain scan from Dr. Shaw High and pull out of the fight.

LOL yes i do remember this quite well - these 'boxing fans" on this board totally forget how bad Ward ducked Bute.

    After winning the super six:
    QUOTE
"So I don't have to go to Lucian Bute right now," Ward said. "We're going to sit back and I'm going to rest and we'll see what's next. I'm open for a Mikkel Kessler clash. I would love to get that rematch and settle that score, since he feels like it wasn't a legitimate victory [in the opening round of the tournament]. Going up to light heavyweight for the right fight -- not to campaign up there, but for the right fight -- is an option. So we've just got to sit back and see what makes sense. I think I earned the right to pick the right fight for the right price."
    UNQUOTE
ESPN, Andre Ward after winning the super six.

He's sat back, and picked his fights....picked himself right out of a career. And he ain't picking' Krusher Kovalev anytime soon either.

He doesn't have an empty resume.

    Stop exaggerating.

It was his prerogative to sit back after the final of the Super Six. He'd earnt that right. He beat Carl Froch with a fractured hand, and was happy to let Froch fight Bute.

That is not conclusive proof that he ducked Bute.

Its incomplete and it lacks depth. His touted victories are over guys with the same style and not hard to beat, Kessler, Abe and Froch. The Super Six tournament was a sham also. What a great idea lets have a tournament to see who the best SMW is but we will leave out almost half of the other top ranked SMW. It was garbage. A rusty trophy that proved nothing. Well it proved that after it Andre Ward went downhill.

So its his hand and shoulder? And how does one earn the right to take time off? Was the SS some murderous tournament where the fighters fought every month. What was the difference between the Super Six and any pro fighter just carrying on his career? Just admit that Andre Ward is not a dedicated pro boxer. A guy who just wants to grab as much money while doing the least possible work. Its pretty transparent.
