BTW, what exactly is the purpose of facing this level of opposition for him. He had his "comeback bout" vs Smith, so he was able to take off some of the ring rust. So why is he trying to fight opponents worse than even Smith now? Why this retrograde step?

If he wanted to dip his toes at 175 and also prepare for Kovalev, surely there's better opponents than these kind of bums, these basically do nothing for him.

Do you guys know any other matches refused by commissions. I don't recall any right now but they must've been a few famous ones.

It's impossible to say if they decide to strip him or not. He should have been stripped before when he refused to face Froch and he hasn't defended his title in almost 2 years or paid any sanctioning fees to the WBA in that time, you'd think anyone else would have been stripped already. But then the WBA have a regular champion and one interim champion that I know of, so they might just let him stay super champion as they have 2 other champions.

Ok people give Floyd and Manny **** for whatever reasons , but they were the top fighters who fought the best.

This guy is just delusional . Its no coincidence he calls himself ' son of god', He really thinks he is.

Ward is being swallowed by his exaggerated self worth combined with a subconscious fear of failure. And its causing him to sabotage his entire career.

One would hope this would bring him back down to earth and ground him a little but he is most likely too far gone.

I agree, Columbian journeyman Alexander Brandt was too dangerous for a fight at all, much less a comeback fight

If this is the kind of thing we can expect with Ward free from Goosen, he should have never left them. It maybe be the worst decision of a bunch of bad decisions.

What top level fighter, less than 4 weeks from a PPV event is scrambling to find an opponent? This should have been resolved ages ago, but Ward seems to spend so much time doing nothing, he's had 4 months since his last fight to arrange a fight and arrange a suitable opponent, he had 6 months after signing with Roc nation to arrange a comeback fight. His career lacks any urgency, any drive, which is worrying having spent so much time inactive.

I admire his skills as a boxer but he needs to let go of control of his career and allow someone else to make the business decisions, because he's scuppering his own career at the moment.

I had hoped after leaving Goosen and signing with Roc Nation he would finally get back to what he does well, boxing in the ring. It's so frustrating I want to scream. He's now left desperately looking for an opponent on short notice and because of this can only get fighters nobody has heard of they are now being rejected by NSAC, leaving him once again with no viable opponent.

Its October 25th. Its not even fair to his opponent given this little time to prepare.

Exactly no decent opponent is going to agree to fight a top fighter on such short notice unless they are being paid very, very well.

Ward is trapped, he can't get anyone decent on short notice and the fighters he can get will likely be rejected by NSAC and even if they are not rejected, whoever he fights he will be highly criticised for.

His career at the moment is a frickin clusterphuck of disasters and he's the one to blame, he put himself in this situation. :wall

You know that even while he was suing Gossen he was offered fights. Goseen offered him a possible Kessler rematch and Anothny Dirrell but Ward says he turned them down because they were a step back ward. So are these fight steps forward? I know what hes trying to do. He wants to drag a SMW up to LHW to fight. He wants the least threat possible.

When they reject them what exactly does that mean? They wont allow the fight in the state of Nevada? I rarely ever heard of this happening before.

He says he lets James Prince make all the decisions. Maybe that's the problem Prince is a huge fock up.
