HBO's not bringing a Golden Boy fighter on board, especially one without a title to offer. Lara should try and snag Quillin's belt- that's a much more makeable fight since they're both Golden Boy/Showtime fighters.

The other reason Andre wants that fight now is that, the longer time goes on, the more leverage he loses in bargaining.

Ward's not dumb. He knows that if he's sidelined with promotional issues or given garbage fights, his ratings will continue to decline while Gennady's keep improving. If he wants homefield advantage, he has to try and pull GGG up now.

I don't think he said anything about 175 (source please), even then back when he made the comments he was in a different situation he's in now, maybe they think he no longer needs to go and make such risky moves? Just a thought.

I also don't think he should be accused of ducking anyone at 168 until he moves up there, for now he made it clear his focus is 160.

    Posted on that elsewhere.

How so many people spend so much time reading and talking about boxing and have zero idea how the business part works never ceases to amaze me though.

If people want to spew hate, they should at least learn to spew it at the right target.

Anyhow, Lara is the one ducking GGG after that "call out" until the people who actually control his career pick up the phone and try to actually make the fight happen. Haymon worked with Hershmann getting E-Rod in with Ward. If he wants, he can do the same with Lara and Golovkin. The question is will he?

Wards fans claimed Ward only fights for props and not money....they claim he's a class act and that Scared of Greatness Ward doesn't have to resort to calling people out....

Now that his camp realizes that Scared of Greatness Ward can't sell out a Dairy Queen, Scared of Greatness is resorting to the online name calling game....

I hope Triple G ignores Scared of Greatness so Ward and his team can realize what sucker they have...nobody has to entertain a guy who can't sell tickets outside of Oakland....

Lara is ducking GGG for calling him out, but GGG isn't ducking wheb he turned down the fight?

and look, I know all about the networks and promotional issues. Yall want to pretend they aren't there when you talk about GGG vs Mayweather or how Peter Quillin is terrified of the HBO fighter, GGG. So I'm going by the same logic

Translation: I hope Triple Duck passes on the Ward fight and saves Golovtardom the traumatic experince of seeing Ward expose Triple Duck...

I am a fan of both guys and I think calling everyone out 3 divisions is a great Marketing angle. fights do not happen for a number of reasons so it can appear that everyone is ducking you (many have in GGGs case). However, do not ignore those who answered the call so far Ward and Lara have taken him up on this and all we hear from team GGG is silence. I think GGG is the best man @ 160 especially with the decline of serg, but I have a strong feeling there is a reason why they will not say lets do this to Lara and Ward. Its all about risk rewards kids and ever fighter calculates it. GGG calls out the Much much smaller Floyd and Floyd who is a WW is two divisions below him, and all these guys who are saying GGG does not have to fight Ward are the same ones that claim floyd is ducking GGG. This is despite the Floyd has never called out the whole MW division.
