Whatever his stock may be now, you can't deny that Ward could have benefited greatly from being the one to bust his cherry.

In fact, it was seen then as the only creditable scalp for him at 168. Hopkins had not fought at mw for 2 years prior to that fight calzaghe a natural smw was fighting at that weight for the first time

Point still stands Ward was beating a stronger Kessler better and more comfortably. If the fight had gone on one more round do you think Kessler would have reversed things or even remotely caught up?

Kessler was equipping hisself well it was a close fight Ward was edging it I had him up 3 rounds , this was a opast prime Kessler Calzhage beat more comfortably and without the use of illegal headbuts. As I said should have been a NC without the headbuts everytime Kessler got inside the result could have been different.

in contrast to joe getting edged out by Kessler for the first SIX rounds, so Ward outperformed Joe. 98–92, 98–92 and 97–93 compared to Joes 117-111, 116-112 and 116-112 , if you are so eager to consider scores.

Calzaghe fought a much better version of Kessler than Ward I saw both fights, also Calzhage was not smashing Kesslers face to bits with his head he fought him hard and fair.

Calzhage won by 4 rounds on 1 card and 5 on the other thats pretty unanimous IMO pal

Oh and Calzhaghe no hero of mine just respect where it is due. To call Ward the Greatest SMW of all time is a joke I can name 6 fighters who fought in that division who are greater than him
