Andre Ward has now become a ''Special Person''

I've been told, that in the lead up to the fight Kovalev had a lot of respect for Ward and his accomplishments. However slowly the respect has completely eroded

Andre Ward on one lamentable occasion, outright refused to shake Kovalev's hand. he did not even acknowledge his presence when Kovalev tried to amicably welcome him in a civilised manner.

Ward has now gone on record to state that he doesn't even need to watch any of Sergeys fights in order to deal with him in November. Added to fact he stated he's only caught one fight of him in action. We know this is a lie because he has been at ringside at multiple occasions for Sergey's fights and even done commentary.

He's also stated that he is not cool with Kovalev and that he is not afraid of him. He has also mocked and disrespected Kovalev's promoter Kathy Duva. Not to mention committed no shows and messed their team around when there was scheduled meetings for negotiations. All of these games were new to Kovalev, because due to his mentality, he is willing to fight anywhere, any time, and doesn't not need special arrangement or special terms in his contract

This has overstepped the mark and undoubtedly this spoilt disrespectful shameless brat has now become a special person in Sergey's eyes, that is going to be punished with untold sustained pain inside the ring. Kovalev has gone on record to state how he now has no other choice but to hurt Andre Ward after the level of disrespect showed to him.

The only thing I can compare this to, is Jean Pascal and his deplorable behaviour. Initially Kovalev didn't have any issues with Pascals and things were entirely professional.

Pascal also couldn't keep his behaviour in check and began showing complete and utter disrespect for Sergey. He began uttering pathetic words announcing that he felt Sergey didn't fight the same Hopkins as as he did. That what he was fighting against, was ignorance, signifying that Kovalev was in fact a racist. These were unquestionably complete and utter ravings of a madman, accompanied by serious baseless accusations that should have resulted in criminal prosecution for defamation.

This made Pascal become a special person in Kovalev eyes. A man with such dignity cannot entertain such words and let them go unchecked.

As a result Jean Pasca was given special punishment in the ring and sergey had no choice but to prolong the beating and since that time, Pascal has never fought again since. Sadly this looks like the same inevitable fate which awaits Andre Ward

 

No, all Ward had to do was show some respect to a great champion. Its not ****ing hard to do. Bernard did it, and he got through the fight.

Maybe if Ward valued his health he'd have went down a similar road and would've had the opportunity finish the fight with his faculties in tact.

Sadly now he now runs the risk of losing everything. He couldn't help himself trying to play mind games with the krusher. He must not know, that this isn't the same calibre of indistinguishable cab drivers of the past he's faced that he can treat like chumps.

 

Don't ever compare Marciano to Andre Ward.

The difference is Ward is not consistent with his actions, he is nice to the indistinguishable bums he picks, but when he is backed into a corner he throws around a strop and begins to behave like a ruffian.
