Even Ward's best jabs couldn't help him to defeat cancer patient Goossen.

    Stop playing.

Kessler WAS Calzaghe's career defining win, not Ward's.
Ward's win over Kessler was on par with his win over another Euro-b-level, Abraham. :smoke

Hey, did you take note of how Ward won the battle of jabs between he and Kessler?

the only thing I remember is Ward blatantly headbutting Kessler from halfway across the ring with the ref pretending not to see it

When he was active Ike had a hell of a jab. One of the best, but definitely not THE best of his era.
In fact, if they fought, Quartey couldn't out jab Breland.
He also failed to out jab Winky Wright.

Quartey can't outjab Larry Holmes either

Ike Quartey has the best jab of All time, end of story

Winky Wright has a very good jab, along with a turtle shell & a size advantage that made him the better fighter. The question is here strictly the Jab

Breland & Paulie Williams jabs were very long range broom sticks, very effective. Not as refined and articulate as Ike Quartey Jab :nono

Mark Breland was a 6'2" welterweight, and his jab had power.

Wilder can be even better because he uses his left arm very versatilly then Breland.

The best jab in history is, Ali.

Holmes power jab was much better.

With that being said neither a Ward or Ali compare to mystical jabs of Wlad and the great Dariusz Michalczewski.

Ward's jab is lazy. He mostly paws with it illegally.

So far I'm pleased to see 99% agree with me about the outstanding and supernatural nature of Ward's agile jab.
The jab is a common fundamental both Hunter and The Mayweathers focus on for their fighters.

Floyd Mayweather was ringside for one of his fighters, Gevanta Davis. Throughout the bout all you heard Floyd yelling was, "Use your jab"!

In thhe boxing textbook of punching, next to the description is a picture of Andre Ward throwing the jab.
