Ward has definitely triggered a bitter response from a vocal minority of Wilder supporters. But he's simply telling it how he sees it and he might very well be right. Though sometimes when in the public eye you need to be a bit more diplomatic with how you put things like saying Wilder should move on the Joshua and not risk the big fight that really counts and then fight Fury when he has all the belts for huge money in a rematch. But clearly Ward doesn't give a **** and is just telling it how he sees it and I commend him for that.
The Ward and Fury clans are both descended from Irish Gypsy stock. Its probable that they are distant cousins. I'm being serious here.
I don't see what's the big deal here. Let's wait and see. Soon we will know the truth. Plus, AJ has expressed readiness in fighting both of them, so we got potentially at least three different fights. Hope we get at least one next year, with a second one for a nice Christmas present.
It would be easy for Deontay to say I'm ok with the draw and then move on to a crack at unification vs Joshua. The hard road and the more respected decision would be to fight Fury for the rematch to settle the score. I hope Deontay steps up since he actually wants to fight the best given his decisions over the last few years.
Not just the easiest but the one that makes the more money. Let’s be realistic, Wilder will be relieved he still has the belt and doesn’t have to rematch to get it back. He might fight Fury again but it won’t be next, he’ll go after AJ now...
Fury v Joshua is a bigger fight but Ward can't really comment on what Wilder wants to do. He said he wants the rematch or to fight Joshua next and I'm inclined to believe he'll go after either. Of course if he ends up fighting Breazeale or someone he's gonna get some flack but I don't think he'll suddenly be fearing a Fury rematch after he actually knocked him out and somehow Fury recovered. He'd get outboxed again but he might also fancy another chance at KOing Fury
Why can't he? Anybody can comment on whatever the hell they want to comment on. Ward knew he he had to take an immediate rematch with Kovalev so he just expects he fellow countryman to do the same in a similar situation , as does everybody else. A good bet is Wilde not taking the rematch so he's only telling it like it is and being honest . Its seems like the man isn't allowed to have an opinion around here.
Because he doesn't know that and Wilder has already said he would rematch Fury. It's like saying Ward retired because hes scared of Beterbiev. Sure anyone can say it but there's no real basis for it and Ward is up there with the worse for getting stroppy when people say the same **** to him.
Stfu with this nonsense . Chavez has criticized canelo before . Tyson has criticized wilder .Anyone can criticize anyone despite of race smh . You should be saying "im 'surprised ward criticized another fighter " dont bring race into it. So just because wilder is black does that mean ward cant . criticize him? Come up with a logical explanation other thsh color. According to your bull**** logic Mike tyson can't criticize wilder either because he's black also ? Smh say something logical as to why Andre should not criticize wilder
Check out 78 Sports new video on Ward ''Andre Ward Says He Never Asked For Fans Respect'' Lots of rather nasty comments along the lines of Ward getting in touch with his white side, he's a sell out and other more offensive terms for that type of thing.
