I've been saying Ward is special for some time now, I tipped him to win the super 6 at the start. I remember him beating Makarenko in the amateurs and the guy hadn't been beatin in years and he had a bad start if remember right then completely changed tactics and hammered him, his style is old school and he has mastered the art of in fighting but don't be fooled cos this kid can do it all, very strong physically & mentally and does everything correct. I fully expect him to dismantle AA and then go on to a super fight with Froch. Like I've already said though this kid is a bit special with old school qualities and technique too!! For me personally I think he is brilliant and I'll continue to study him ;-)

But at SMW and LHW, there really aren't many guys who can beat him. Maybe Dawson if he can sort out his offence.

I don't think Kessler was diminished at all it was more about how Ward dealt with him. Everyone goes in there thinking they can over power Ward similar to PBF then they get shocked once in there that it is much more difficult than it looks. This guy won the il pic gold medal for a reason and there is a reason why he has not lost a fight since he was 12 years old. At times tonight he was like Magic Man Marlon Starling on the inside. Full credit to Froch though. I knew he would be outclassed and was expecting astoppagevuthestayed in there.

Ward is an outstanding fighter, potentially very special. He knows a lot of tricks for such a young man, he's what I'd call a chameleon in there he can do whatever it takes.

He isn't taking punches, he's dominating, he's showing versatility, the guy hasn't lost for an amazing length of time. He looks like he could be special, the extent of the way he's dominating and doing it without taking punishment is what marks him out as potentially special.

That said Kessler is the only top notch opponent on his ledger so he's got some way to go.

Froch and Kessler in his win column looks great as well as being Super 6 winner. I expect him to beat Bute and a match against Dirrell would be intriguing especially as Dirrell is faster and a southpaw though Ward is quicker and has a more complete all round game.
