Probably he will eventually fight one lower level top 20 type fighter around september time claiming to be building up to a bigger fight that in fact will never materialise.

    Hopefully 2-3 times.

    He's wasting his prime.

    ^This.

I would say once -- twice max.

Sadly, this sort of thing is what we've come to expect from Ward, seeing as how he's fought only once in the last two years.

Wins on a technicality then a rematch in 2017 for a NC.

...for a mooted big fight at 175, which probably won't materialise.

I think he is more likely to have one long fight with roc nation to release him from his contract.

Either that or he is just going to enjoy the $2 million he got from them for the smith fight and possibly retire like he has been since the Smith fight.

    Likely once IMO.

If he fought twice or thrice (one being Kovalev), I'll gladly eat crow on the bearish outlook I've given his career and give him full props for the turnaround. I might have come off as a Ward critic, but I'd love for him to prove me wrong because it's never good when top fighters sabotage their own career like he has.

He's a hell of a talent, but needs to be more active. I'll believe the Kovalev fight happens and the hunger's back when I see it.

Ya because his 2 million paydays for facing bums are unrealistic. Kovalev got 250k to face Hopkins ffs and ward is a lesser draw and wants 2 million to face smith.

Its a joke really becusse his not going to get much more than 2 million to fight kovalev unless ROC nation pay him out of there own pocket. His got no motivation to step up
