Huh? He was getting paid very well by goosen and the only reason he taught the deal was unfair is because ward is an egomaniac who thinks his worth may weather money. Goosen did a great job with him, got him the right fights and home advantage and laid him well for it, its impossible to make an argument goosen didn't do a good job by him

He didn't find a better opportunity he wz u der contract and spent two years wasting his career sueing a during man even though he was in the wrong

His promoter didn't fight back probably took him no effort to prove ward was talking nonsense . the three court case ward tried got thrown out of court in no time

He had CONTRACT OBLIGATIONS and was trying to break them. He is an idiot leaving Goossen, as he will never find another promoter who will do as much for him.

Ward will keep trying to drag B- level SMWs to fight him at LHW or picking shot/C-level LHWs, HBO will keep declining them, and then Ward will sue to get their contract cancelled.

Funny how rude, obnoxious and disrespectul Ward was to a small 160lber.... yet how he doesnt mutter a world of disrespect to Sergey. He wants nothing to do with him, irk him in no way, kiss his ass whenever his names brought up, all the while saying how great a fight it would be in the future

Ward's the epitone of a cowardly piece of ****. A bully even

Like's been mentioned, he fights once next year, another joke tune up after having his first 4 or 5 oppoents refused, then gets injured

Would love if Sergey offered to fight him for free. Ward would still pull out. The 175 Mayweather

That's your opinion. I won't speak on what's the best career decision for him because I don't know the details or his mindset during that time period. All I know is he felt it wasn't right and I believe everyone is entitled to pursue what they believe is best for them.

It's clear you're making a parody of it all. :good

His mindset clearly requires shrink help.

How am I making a parody. His latest selections were Smith, Murdoch, Brand and Periban -- all B/C level SMWs. Barrera was deliberately lowballed to make sure he doesn't accept.

Making a parody of it by saying things like "He'll sue Roc Nation and/or opponents", "he'll drag everyone up", "he'll get injured to duck".

Just because it's happened before, doesn't mean it'll happen EVERY time.

If I was putting money on it I'd say it will happen again

Again, this is all opinion. The only person that decides whether Goosen was doing good for Ward is Ward himself. You and I may disagree with how Ward felt, but it doesn't matter since we are not the decision makers. I thought Ward was fine and I believe he was wasting time also, IMO, if he wanted out, he should've fought meaningful opponents and finished out his contract. But that's my opinion, I can't call him stupid for it or judge him for it.

Ward might feel he's worth $20 million, you might say $4 million, I might say $3 million. It doesn't matter unless it's Ward himself. Whether that hurts him or not is on him.

And by the way, when I said "I can't blame Ward" if the Kovalev fight falls through over the scenario I provided, I really can't blame him or change my stance on that. By a lot of people's logic, yours included, he'd have to take a pay cut to fight Kovalev. That isn't going to happen, sucks, but it is what it is. Maybe Kovalev under values himself and therefore gets paid less? I don't know.

To be honest it seems like he just wants 1 or 2 more of these and he will leave the sport after that. I still don't believe that he is planning on fighting the top guys at 175.

he signed the contract he fought to get out on barely 1 year earlier that's what makes it silly. What changed in that little time when it went from great contract to worth taking 2 years off to get out of?
