I really appreciate Ward's ambition, but if he actually has the idea in the back of his head that he'll one day venture up to HW to fight for a title, than he has to fight pretty much any other fighter than WLadimir.

Wlad can't hold a candle to Ward's boxing skills, but the physical advantages Wladimir would have in that fight would be far too much for Andre to deal with.

The great Roy Jones avoided all the top alphabet title holders at HW and went after Ruiz. Had Jones tried to fight one of the real HW champs- i.e. Lewis or Vitali, he would've ended up laid out within 4 rounds.

I don't think that Ward really meant that. It was more taken out of context rather that Ward saying he would take on Wladimir. He would be absolutely crazy to even think about something like that.

Ward is an intelligent fighter. Much more so than either Klitscho.
I'm positive that Ward is fully aware of the main obstacle preventing him from defeating Vlad for a world HW title, size.
I think what Ward was saying is that one day he may put on weight and campaign at HW, and in his mind he is sure that if the physical size limitations didn't exist, he'd whip Vlad's ****** ass.

Am I the only one who interpreted that to say "If a guy I'm 100 percent sure I could beat becomes hw champ, the fight will happen"

Ward won't even fight Kovalev, Stevenson. Vlad would easily knock Ward out cold, no contest. Vlad is too tall for Ward to headbutt, so there goes his best punch. Anyone who thinks that Ward can beat Vlad is nuts..............I would give Ward zero chance................Ward is afraid to fight higher than 168, and it always has to be in his home town, with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., this shows how stupid Ward really, very conceited. If Ward wants to fight Vlad, they let's see him do it ASAP......................

    Ward is a smart guy.

It is why he won't fight a Klit, and it is why he didn't fight Bute, and also why he won't fight KOvalev or Stevenson. Those fighter represent a big risk to him.

Well hopefully if he moves up he does the right thing and fights Wlad rather than whoever has the WBC trinket. Roy Jones could take a lesson from Ward it seems

Why? Billy Conn tried it against one of the most savage punchers and finishers of all time and came out ok. Even had a rematch. He didn't get hurt or die.

Should try actually getting out and fighting someone nearer his current weight rather than ramble on about Wlad
