This guy wont go far, holds too much but its not integrated properly in his game like a Bhop of a Floyd to some extent. Should lose soon once faced with better comp.

Well hes gone relatively far, medalist and is now world champ. What I meant is, youre not seeing a James Toney, BHop, RJJ here. A good start would be a confrontation with semi elite Bute (#1SMW) and see how he looks against a good boxer

 

Yes, he's definitely well accomplished to date. But to be among Toney, Hopkins and Jones he will have to keep it up for a good length of time. And judging by the way he has dominated who he has dominated, combined with his dedication, work ethic and intelligence; not only will it be a while before he loses (as it has been since he has last lost), but it might be a bit of a while before anybody comes even close. Beating Bute would be a great statement, but I believe Ward will always have his haters, just as all the other greats do. Time will tell.

 

And I have nothing against King Arthur for what happened. Its boxing, Abraham was in do or die mode and cant be blamed. :good

I believe the majority of the people calling Ward dirty are doing so to distract from how wrong they all were about Ward before he faced Kessler.

 

Abraham was behind on points, was in Dirrell's home town and was cheated by the worst referee in boxing, Cole! Abraham knew he had knocked Dirrell down, hurt him, so he became too agressive. Dirrell was going to get knocked out, started back peddling. If Abraham had been a little more careful and had not landed that late blow, he would have knocked Dirrell out.

Whatever, it's moot now. When will somebody ask Ward why he refused to fight in tournament unless he got "all" his fight in his home town? His referee allowed Ward go head butt all night and Ward won by illegal head butt when he should have been disqualified, but Ward's personal referee did not go by the rules, of course. Now Ward's latest fight will, once again, be within his home town! Why such a huge double standard?

 

Yea Ward is Class Act.. Saw the first fight. Ward has been a progression.. the hit and hold style clearly fustrates.. That style along with the switch hitting style + Good D is alot to nutralize.. However Ward's head movement worries me if he was ever to get caught with an uppercut (Meaning One he didn't see) how would he react.. I have seen him get hit with big puches aka Miranda's big right hand.. But the punches he see, that he gets hit with.. which are very few don't hurt him at all..

Bute is nice.. but got hit alot this past weekend by a so so boxer in Brinkley.. Ward usally hits and doesn't get hit back very often.. Bute is a southpaw.. how does he handle Ward's constant switching and giving differnent looks.. Wards foot speed, body movement plus the Defence are going to be tough, and thats not even talking about Wards gameplan.. Im sure Bute has a shot but I haven't seen anything from him to see that he can content with Ward in any way..

 

Why cant we ever talk about Boxing the actual science.. not a bunch of Poilitics or What ifs or they were cheated.. This **** gets old.. I mean ****, take away all of the fouls and all the venues, the 2 fights in questions were fought on a deserted Island.. Ward would still be up on the cards and the result would still be the same.. Direll would still be up on the cards and still winning the fight no matter what shape he was in when the fight ended..

Get over it.. Ward beat the brakes off a highly favoreved Kesller, give him props.. or don't just stop bitching about what you cannont change.. WARD WON...

Tell Ward to fight in the other fighter's home town.

Ward needs to get the guts to fight somewhere other than his home town and Ward needs to get the courage to fight Bute in neutral territory, but he never will.

 

Semi elite Bute = number 1 at SMW in the world. Don't you think that you're a little absurd by telling Bute a semi elite fighter ?

I have never seen a more dirty and ugly style of boxing like Ward has. This guy should be disqualified after first round of all his fights ! I can't even watch, Ward vs Green was a torture for my eyes.

 

it was torture to your eyes cause thats what an ass whipping looks like in a phone booth.. I can't wait for Bute to get that treatment.. He can take a # because its comming...

FOr the Record.. this is Wards 4th fight in 22 professional bouts.. He is a GOLD medalist and a World Title Holder WBA..

Bute is a IBF World Title Holder and has fought 21 time either in Montreal or Qubec City..

Now after reading the above sentence please tell me if im wrong for telling you to go **** YOURSELF on the whole Ward needs to fight someone in thier home town.. GTFOH

Ward is a young 26 year old Champ with great talent taking on the SMW best in the S6 Tourney he gets 4 fights at home and their is outcry.. People should check themselves cause by looking at the numbers you should be able to tell mathamatically that Bute's streak of 15 strait... STRAIT>>>>>!!! bouts in Montreal is absurd.. and some people have the nerve to tell a fighter who is going on his 4ht strait bout in his hometown to fight somewhere else is laughable.. I hope Andre Ward Unify the SMW division.. I hope Bute whom is 30 doesn't backdoor his way out of fighting Ward.. if he pulls the we can only fight in Canada BS (when Ward will clearly have the better Resume) We will offically know who is scared to fight and was never as good as they had claimed to be.. Also for the record.. Steliglz needs to bring his ass out of the closet and fight someone who has a pulse.

 

I really have a very strong disliking for Ward. Maybe it is because he get's the easy pickings in the super six? Maybe it's because he is too afraid to step out of his hometown? Maybe it is his ugly face?

 

Ward has definitely studied at the BHop & Hatton school of mauling and was its star pupil.
