Lol it’s right CST80,of course some will say you’re just being a hater but I reckon we’re a good judge of character and in Andre Ward he comes across as very dishonest to me and who in the hell would even dare to call themselves Son of God.

Lost count of how many fights he’s had with his own pocket Ref that allows head butts,elbows,wrestling and that really annoying Ward/Rigondeux thing of ducking below the waistline.

The right hand from Ward was glorious and Kovalev was badly hurt.

Ultimately though, a fighter isn't beaten until he's beat. You can't beat someone with illegal shots.

 

The manner of Ward's official wins over Kovalev, home cooking in the first then the bizarre early stoppage in the rematch will always rankle as far as I am concerned. The fact I lost decent money on both bouts doesn't help.

However it has to be said that Andre deserves huge respect for stepping up to face a feared vicious LHW champ of Kovalev's standing in the first place. I don't enjoy Wards fighting style and find some of his more cynical or unsporting tactics off-putting but although at times I find Ward insightful and likeable in TV appearances or interviews a lot of times he gives off a sense of bitterness and entitlement. This type of stuff along with the whole religion stuff simply rubs me the wrong way personally.

Despite all that, Andre Ward epitomises a winners mentality in boxing. He commands respect.

I hate his overbearing religious BS.

But he is a great boxer. And his achievements are sold short by those who personally dislike him.

 

Religion is overrated IMO, anybody that has a religious icon on their avatar is a lost cause
