    Let's get excited, folks!

This is going to be just another easy UD win for Ward, because this Barrera guy is just another typical Ward opponent who fights in straight lines and has no defense.

Ward's strategy to retire undefeated is the following: always fight against the style that you do best against, while finding excuses to avoid the guys who have a style that gives you problems.

The style that gives Ward problems is a guy with speed, head movement, and a hard punch. This is why he wanted no part of Andre Dirrell, Lucian Bute, James DeGale and George Groves. These guys also throw punches from all angles.

His best wins are against fighters who all have the same style: Kessler, Froch, Abraham, and Edwin Whatever. These guys are all hard punchers with no speed, no defense and no head movement, and they punch in straight lines only. Sitting ducks for Ward. The fans were fooled into thinking Ward was taking a risk against a devastating puncher, but these guys could never land a punch on Ward. Do you guys remember when Ward was calling out a shot Kelly Pavlik?

Three cheers for Andre! We're all stupid and have no idea how this fight will end! :happy:happy:happy

where did all the people go that said ward was ducking barrera and would lose to him? barrera is a good 175 fighter.. the first real 175er ward has taken on and he aient no bum so whats wrong with that?

people jumping up and down because ward did not fight kova the king of 175 in his first fight at that weight ? even if you hate ward (and i know their are tons of you) if wards first fight at 175 was against kova and he lost anyone can say it was a weight issue, if ward moves up takes on 2 good opponents (and barrera is certainly one) then the excuses are gone we get 2 see the two best 175ers fight for supremacy because your boy stevenson scared as hell

We all agree that Barrera is a good fighter, just like we all agreed that Froch and Kessler were good fighters. But at this point we've figured out that these guys are all the same. Ward is fighting the same fight every time. That's why he can't fight so often. The big lay-offs serve to make you forget that his opponents are all one-dimensional sluggers who can't fight on the inside.

I was a big fan of Ward and I picked him to win the Super Six before it ever started. But when I saw him duck Dirrell, then duck Bute, then duck DeGale/Groves, I realized he had no intention of ever taking on any other style than the robotic guys he fights. Remember when he wanted to fight Pavlik?

He didn't choose Froch or Kessler, he was scheduled to fight them when he entered the Super 6. Speaking of the Super 6, Bute ducked the entire tournament, while at the same time building a reputation off fighting bums. As far as Dirrel, he was supposed to fight Ward but he pulled out. Degale and Groves were not players at the time Ward was dominating and when they were he was dealing with injuries and promotional disputes.

I'm excited to see Ward back in the ring. Ward would make GGG look one-dimensional and that's one of the best opponents you can think of (not my opinion but yours). Just excuses because you know Ward is going to win and look good doing it. Ward is fighting a live body something I cannot say for a lot of fighters. Folks making a preemptive strike against Ward huh. Pathetic. That said I'm truly excited, nothing like big fight night.

The only thing that interests me in this fight is how Ward looks at the weight. Barrera isn't a threat from what little I've see of him. If Ward hasn't slipped at all due to all the inactivity then he should win comfortably.

Fact is until Ward steps in with Kovalev nobody expects anything else other than a Ward domination.

I personally do not feel that Barerra will truly threaten Ward, but Ward has been highly inactive with the exception of the Smith match, so I don't mind the match.

It's good to just see him in the ring with a potentially B level pro, A level amateur. I'm actually pretty excited to see Andre Ward in the ring.

Last time I checked GGG is a 160 pounder and the 30 day weigh in from GGG just proved that to the casual fans..

Ward is a 175 pounder just look at his frame and he's own quote
Ward: it was so hard making 168

Ward vs Kovalev is the fight to see how good Ward really is vs another elite guy his own size

Kovalev vs Ward is the best fight of 2016 along side Postol vs Crawford and a few others

Canelo's 30 day weight in vs cotto was 167
GGG's 30 day weight vs wade was 164

Just a little food for thought guys

It's funny as **** though you don't want ward to move up to fight the killer on his first fight at 175 but you expect Gennady to do the same, move up to 168 and fight ward right off the bat?

why does Andrea get a pass?
