he doesn't he is a deluded ego maniac, he was the lesser draw and got all the money and everything he's own way, now he wants the fight in he's driveway with he's mother as the referee and he's family judging , he also wants 10 million and sergey gets bus fare home

 

he didn't have doubt he knew ward was losing and lost, he's words and actions in the corner make no sense otherside. and wards body language etc after the fight shows he either taught he lost or the fight was razor close, for him to then say in the interview afterwards that the fight wasnt close and he won clearly shows himself for what he is, a narcissistic lair

 

Best to move on then and forget about world titles if Ward is being too awkward and Adonis won't play ball. I agree a non-title fight vs Beterbeiv would still attract interest.

 

i agree , but if it comes out that ward maybe insane demands and basically was ducking the rematch, it will severely hurt he's standing in boxing, him holding the titles and also fighting not very often or against good fighters also slows down one of the hottest divisions in boxing which boxing fans will hate him more for

i mean we have stevenson fighting the worst possible opponents for 4 years ,now a guy who rarely fights holding the other belts it will be a disaster

i can see why ward would want to retire, a mandatory with beterbiev is looming,, kovalev wants a rematch, gvodsyk looks amazing and bivol is on the rise, i think he realises he will be knocked spark out soon enough, or best case scenario he takes severe punishment over the next few fights

 

What about the possibility of Kov moving up to CW? I think he's big at the weight @175 but not sure he has the frame to go up? There's some great options for him at CW...

 

i really doubt it he doesn't struggle to make 175 and i don't know where the big 175 comes from, he looked the same size as ward, should ward move up to cruiser? the big fights for kovalev is at 175, and cruiser at the moment is a stacked very very dangerous division that doesn't get any media attention. It would be career suicide moving up 25 pounds to take on killers like Lebedev,Gassiev, Usyk ,breides etc when barely anyone knows who they are.

better options at 175 and more winnable fights

 

I mean if you look at his frame I think he could carry some extra weight fine. 25llbs might be a stretch, maybe - I dunno, but a fight with Uysk would generate interest in the same way Beterbiev would, but there would be a title on the line. Or do you think Uysk would be too much for him? 6ft 3ins vs 6ft, 73ins reach vs 78ins - it's not unheard of....

 

i think light heavy to cruiser is a harder gap to bridge than cruiser to heavy. Bellew made the transition well because he was always a cruiser cutting himself to death to make 175, he has no business there really and it effected he's performances.

kovalev looks like a natural light heavyweight and i would see him struggling at cruiser. Usyk would dominant him, gassiev would rip him to pieces and a few other guys would probably beat him. I'm a kovalev fan but we have to be realistic about this, i think beterbiev probably beats him to

 

Honestly think Kovalev is too small for cruiser. Even Gvozdyk in the same division is already miles bigger than Sergey.

The only CW champ he can beat imo is Bellew. He has very little chance against Usyk imo, there's a guy who's much bigger and stronger, has a great chin, and has p4p skills to match.

Even CST, who supports Kovalev over all others, thinks he's too small for cruiser.

Yeah, I tend to agree. I was just putting it out there to see the reaction. In that case, I hope one of the titlists at LHW step up to the plate. I reckon it would be best if Adonis fights Krusher first - and he'd lose to Kov imo - and then the rematch with Ward would be for the undisputed crown. With a title to his name, Krusher would have a better position to negotiate from and a better pay day...

i hate stevenson because he won't fight anyone good and is holding up the division, if ward does the same thing and ignores the super talents like gvodsyk,beterbiev bivol etc and freezes them out and fights cans, im going to be raging

this divison should on fire the fights just have to be made, no waiting around, beterbiev and gvodsyk aren't waiting around they are fighting top fighters and want title shots.
