Follow him on IG and seen that he’s been training regularly and also sparring.

Anyone heard anything about him coming back?

He's been training pretty much non-stop I believe, with the occasional spar.

Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't be surprised if he got tempted back for one last big fight.
But it would have to be one that's both highly lucrative as well as one he's fairly confident about.
He wouldn't want to go out with a bad loss and is quite a smart cookie.

The thing is he definitely can't make SMW anymore, otherwise the even older (and probably considerably more shop-worn) GGG would be the obvious target.
Needless to say, Beterbiev and Bivol are too good for a retired Ward.
He might be able to beat Canelo but that's not a guarantee at 38, plus he'd want Canelo to establish himself by getting a belt at LHW first.

He'd come back tomorrow if the right opponent with a belt and big money presented itself.

No chance them 3 things align.

Hope not, Ward wasn’t an exciting fighter in his prime and he’s definitely not gonna bring much energy being almost 40. The man retired with his health and money, no need for a comeback.

Ward has no fans, who would want to see him come back?

This is the only fight I could see happening. I think if 2020 had been a normal year we might have seen him with GGG.

As it stands, GGG is still immensely popular with boxing fans but there was a brief moment of intersection between crossover celebrity (at least the general sports fan was aware of him) and advanced age. Now he's a bit too far to one side so I don't see that fight carrying enough juice to bring Ward out of retirement.

I wonder if he would fight a hypothetical undisputed HW champ Usyk at a 201lbs catchweight?

The Colosseum is more than available. Mostly a ghost town these days.
