Andre Ward is Not Boring

Boring No!.

Just too damn good.

 

He clinches when he doesn't really need to. Instead of quelling the tide when Froch was showing life late, he just spoils and holds. He'll never be a draw because he can't punch and has a boring personality, but his fights could be more entertaining if he wanted.

 

Im still pissed off with the way he beat Kessler. That said im definately warming to him.

Ward has an effective style of fighting, it's not always entertaining (Green fight was probably the worst fight i've ever seen) But he was actually aggressive in a smart fight vs Abraham, of course you cannot expect him to be a brawler against someone like Abraham. He did a masterclass performance vs Froch and it was all right to see, but what he lacks is punching power. So with all respect to Ward, he was exciting to watch against Abraham and Froch, but in general he is not an exciting fighter, because he doesn't finish people and have 0 punching power
